Karn pursued power and allies across parallel worlds while the Soul Clan gathered the Ancient Jade and prepared to find the Ancient Emperor’s Cave Dwelling. The arc ended with Hun Tiandi locating the cave and Xiao Yan setting out to learn more about the Gu Clan’s plans.

• Karn traveled to the past, defeated Frieza and King Cold, healed Son Goku, and used Earth’s and Namek’s Dragon Balls to gain new abilities and locate Majin Buu’s sealed egg.
• Karn became involved in Xiao Yan’s departure for the Central Plains, Medusa and Ichikishimahime’s campaign among the magical beasts, and the rising conflict between the Soul Clan and the other ancient clans.
• Karn captured Qinglin after she controlled Medusa and Ichikishimahime, then allowed Ichikishimahime to punish her while Gu Xun’er persuaded him to spare her life.

• Karn arranged for Gu Yuan to give the final Ancient Jade piece to Hun Tiandi in exchange for Xiao Zhan, while Xiao Yan handed over his own jade and prepared for the coming battle.

• The Little Fairy Doctor became a Dou Sheng, gave birth to Feixian, and agreed to join Karn's expedition to the Great Thousand World.
• Karn, Hermione, Gu Xun'er, and their forces crossed the Void Turbulence and arrived on the Western Heaven Continent.
• Gu Xun'er defeated Winter Old Man, and Karn defeated the Western Heaven War Emperor before taking over the Western Heaven Temple.
