As Tsunade developed a Medical Ninja program and Nawaki was injured, Karn prepared to recruit Kakuzu and establish a casino and confectionery shop.

• Karn entered the Land of Rain during the Second Shinobi World War, met Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, and brought them to Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru.
• Karn sold Konoha his medicines, secured permission to open shops, and hired Senju widows to staff his business.
• Karn established companies in New York, returned with supplies, expanded his Konoha shops, and arranged a factory and cocoa cultivation in Kawaki Town.
• Karn sold novels in the Land of Fire’s capital, built the confectionery factory, and arranged for villagers to grow cocoa in exchange for grain and high-priced bean purchases.

• Karn began learning chakra and ninjutsu from Kakuzu while investing in Maya and Killian’s Extremis Virus research in the Marvel Universe.

He returned to a tense Konoha, where his dealings with Tsunade and the village continued as conflict mounted.

• Karn and Tsunade returned to Konoha, where Kushina welcomed him home and the family gathered for dinner.
• Tsunade tested Yakushi Nonō and arranged for her to study at Konoha Hospital, while Karn visited the Uchiha and later helped Orochimaru verify the successful serum trials.

Karn survived Konoha’s failed attempt to capture him and expanded his influence through trade, research, and political alliances while developing his magic and Sage Mode. The stretch ended with Dumbledore considering Karn for a role at Hogwarts as Hermione spent the summer studying at his home.

• The Great Toad Sage warned Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze about a mysterious threat, while Hiruzen Sarutobi approved Danzo’s barrier plan to counter Karn’s Space-Time Ninjutsu.
• Karn escaped Danzo’s capture attempt, and his planted TNT killed the ANBU and Root squads, and he blamed the Cloud Ninja for the destruction before staying with Tsunade and Kushina.
• Karn secured trade agreements with Sunagakure and built up operations in the Land of Tea and the Land of Waves, while Terumi Shin considered his proposal to redirect Kirigakure’s conflict toward war.
