"Good Lord, what the hell are these people trying to do?"
Thomas Wayne pushed open the door to the basement's Water and Electricity Room, and the sight that greeted him left him stunned.
The room was hot and stuffy. An enormous pit had been dug into the floor, and when he walked to its edge and looked down, he saw a massive exposed pipe that supplied water to all of Star City's residents.
On the cavern's rock wall, a machine dozens of stories tall roared as it worked.
It was the source of the room's extraordinary heat. Dozens of hoses extended from its center into the damaged water pipe, pouring an unidentified yellowish-brown liquid into the water.
The livestream was still running. When the truth about the abandoned hospital was laid bare before everyone, quite a few local viewers vomited on the spot.
"Oliver really did guess right. These Star City bastards tampered with the drinking water. No wonder the cancer rate here is so high."
Owlman muttered, then suddenly realized that Will had been silent behind him all this time.
He turned around just in time to see Qin Wei crouching on the floor, vomiting violently.
"Are you okay?"
"You-I can put up with you not being able to see me, but can you really not smell it?"
"Smell what?"
"This whole room reeks of that monster's foul stench. I'm suffocating!" Will wiped the stomach acid from the corner of his mouth and glared at Owlman with bloodshot eyes.
From his perspective, there was no machine in this room at all. There was only an enormous Gray Sarcoma whose body and tentacles almost filled the entire pit.
The nauseating stench alone was enough to confirm that this thing was the same as the one in Gotham's Wayne Tower.
But
