"OMG, Mr. Big Sock, stop hitting Mr. Second Sock! You'll beat him stupid!
Mr. Third Sock, stop yelling at Mr. Fourth Sock. It's wrong to insult people. Don't do that.
Stop, stop! Don't fight anymore!"
Inside the office, Arnold lay on the open floor like a sow.
His limbs twisted and wrestled with one another as his personalities fought for control.
A few minutes later, Lynn even saw an extremely unnatural flush creep across Arnold's fat face.
"Fuck! Don't hold me back! Today, I'm going to teach that son of a bitch Second Sock that I, Big Sock, own this body!"
"Holy shit! If I, Second Sock, give in to you today, then your mom fucking gave birth to me!"
"Third Sock, fuck you! I'm the owner of this body!"
"Rape!"
A jumble of voices came from Arnold's belly, filled with filthy language and classic American curses.
Combined with his flailing limbs, it looked as though the sock personalities were having a battle royale inside his stomach.
"Oh ho ho ho..."
As the socks manipulated Arnold's limbs to fight one another, his facial expression began to fall apart completely.
His eyes veered in different directions, his tongue lolled out, and he murmured incoherently.
It looked as though his own personalities were tormenting this lunatic beyond recognition.
Pfft!!
After his limbs wrestled for a while, wisps of white smoke rose from the Ventriloquist's balding head.
[Side quest "Break the Ventriloquist" completed] [Rewards obtained: Bullet Time, Harley Quinn affection +10] [Bullet Time: From "The Matrix." Once Bullet Time is activated, the world will slow down in your eyes, allowing you to see enemies' movements and bullet trajectories and dodge accordingly.]
Lynn raised his eyebrows slightly. Bullet Time? Now that's a good skill.
He remembered that the protagonist of The Matrix could use this skill not only to dodge bullets, but also to stop them in midair. It was practically the perfect skill for murder and robbery.
Harley stuffed all the stolen money into her waist pouch, then looked at the Ventriloquist lying blank-faced on the floor, feeling thoroughly pleased.
Her lips curved into a gorgeous smile. Spreading her full, pale thighs, she straddled Lynn.
Lynn took a deep breath, catching that familiar milky scent.
Harley wrapped her pale, slender arms around Lynn's neck, looking every bit like his lover.
She brought her delicate face close to his. Only a few centimeters separated them, and each could feel the other's warm breath brushing their face.
"What are you trying to-"
Before Lynn could finish, Harley sealed his mouth with hers.
"Thank you."
"Woof, woof!"
Looking at the Ventriloquist, who had been trained into a dog, Harley asked curiously:
"How did you train him into a dog?"
"First you do this, then this, and then that," Lynn explained.
Harley: "..."
How is that any different from saying nothing?
Watching the speechless Harley, Lynn arched an eyebrow. "Do you want to be a dog too?"
"No, I don't."
Harley shook her head, got straight off his lap, and walked over to the desk.
"What an unromantic man. Still, at least he's a little better than that damned Joker."
Muttering to herself, she gathered up the guns and assorted odds and ends on the desk.
Harley raised her head, her beautiful eyes turning toward Lynn, her face alight with excitement.
"Now we've got thirty thousand dollars in starting funds, plus this base. We can definitely keep recruiting new members."
She could already picture herself leading the Bat Gang to fame and glory in Gotham.
When that time came... she, Harley Quinn, would be the queen of all Gotham. Nobody would ever look down on her again.
As Harley finished speaking, blue system notifications appeared before Lynn.
[Main quest: Recruit members for the Bat Gang] [Quest description: The Bat Gang has just been founded, but two people aren't enough. Recruit three more members to join the Bat Gang.] [Quest rewards: Harley Quinn affection +20, random Character Card ×1, random item ×1]
Lynn stood up, and his Pleasant Goat costume instantly changed into the red-and-gold Iron Man Armor.
"Let's go. We'd better hurry and recruit the others."
"We'll take the elevator down."
Harley picked up two Glock 17s and stuffed them into her back pockets.
"The cops are all downstairs. The elevator isn't safe anymore."
Lynn scooped Harley into his arms. Amid her startled cries, the Iron Man Armor's thrusters blasted out scorching jets, sending them through the glass curtain wall and up into the sky.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Held in Lynn's arms, Harley watched the scene before her with excitement written all over her face.
Between the towering buildings, neon light filtered through the rain and mist, scattering a faint glow that reflected off the puddles like tiny rainbows.
Against the pitch-black sky overhead, pale gray moonlight set off a circular bat symbol.
As they flew through the air, they could make out two dark figures confronting each other among the distant high-rises.
"It's Selene and Old Bat, the guy who sold his ass!" Harley recognized them at a glance.
After all, since meeting Catwoman at Wayne Enterprises last time, Harley had become close friends with her.
Now that she saw Catwoman's familiar outfit, Harley naturally recognized her right away.
As for the man standing opposite Catwoman, who else could it be but Batman, the most disturbed psychopath in all Gotham?
Lynn said in a low voice, "Catwoman and Batman... maybe we can try bringing Catwoman into the Bat Gang."
Cold raindrops kept falling from the sky, landing on the black bodysuit before slowly sliding over the oval bat emblem.
"Catwoman... tell me, why did you go to S.T.A.R. Labs to steal Scarecrow's toxin formula?"
Batman remained expressionless, his low, gravelly voice carrying an intense air of intimidation.
S.T.A.R. Labs in Gotham City was dedicated to researching all kinds of biotechnology.
Although Batman frequently kept it under surveillance, plenty of supervillains still set their sights on a laboratory capable of outcompeting everyone else.
"Bruce, take a guess. Why would I steal the Fear Toxin formula?"
Catwoman raised an eyebrow and answered with a question of her own.
Batman's brow furrowed at her response, and he was about to demand that she hand over the Fear Toxin formula.
After all, if something like Fear Toxin fell into the hands of dangerous people with malicious intentions, Gotham's residents would once again be plunged into misery.
But before he could speak, a familiar voice came from above.
"Yo, Bat-Faker, are you threatening Catwoman into destroying those photos of you selling your ass?
You really are a lunatic who chases crazies and beats up idiots in Gotham.
Anyway, do all you rich people love wearing tights and cosplaying outside this much?"
Batman: "..."
