Tormo Freyga's face alternated between livid and pale as he stared through gritted teeth at the immense red dragon beneath Liu Qian.
The dragon was nearly a hundred feet long. Terrifying though it was, Braavos did not lack weapons for dealing with enormous beasts.
He secretly gestured behind him while declaring harshly, "Your Majesty! If you and your dragon do not cease your provocations, Braavos will have no choice but to act in self-defense. The consequences will certainly not be what you wish to see."
He had already secretly ordered the massive Scorpions deployed at key positions to be brought into action.
If this mad king still refused to stop, a battle to slay a dragon would be inevitable.
He believed that, at such close range, a concentrated volley from the enormous crossbows would be enough to kill the red dragon.
Liu Qian had long since seen through his intentions and spotted the cold gleam of the bolts concealed behind buildings and along the docks.
Rather than retreat, he ordered Blooddance to breathe Dragonfire again, setting the remaining buildings of the House of Black and White ablaze as though deliberately provoking them.
Just then!
Whoosh!
An enormous Scorpion bolt suddenly shot from the top of a distant bell tower, hurtling straight toward Blooddance's head.
The shot had not been authorized by Tormo. An excessively nervous soldier's hand had slipped.
Liu Qian reacted as swiftly as lightning, yanking the reins.
Blooddance roared, deftly sending its enormous body into a steep climb.
The massive bolt grazed its belly scales and flew past, burying itself deep in a distant building behind it and setting off a burst of screams.
Tormo Freyga's face instantly turned as white as paper.
Which idiot was that?!
He hadn't given the order yet!
Liu Qian's icy gaze instantly
