The meeting continued, discussing the details of the siege.
Then Daemon Sand stepped forward, bringing news that stirred the atmosphere in the tent once more.
"Your Grace, we have just received a secret report from Norvos. The real Prince Quentyn has set sail with fifteen thousand men of the Norvos Elite Legion and will soon land on the coast of the Crownlands."
A low murmur spread through the tent.
This was a powerful fresh force.
Daemon continued, "Duskendale is short of troops now. Kevan's and Jaime's main forces are both pinned down outside by us, and all the Lannisters' attention is on us. If we can have Prince Quentyn land directly near Duskendale and launch a surprise attack, we may well take Duskendale in one stroke. Then Kevan and Jaime will face enemies on both sides, surrounded by our forces!"
The bold plan immediately drew a response.
Harry Strickland rubbed his chin. "If we can take Duskendale, we can not only cut off any possibility of reinforcements reaching the Lannister front line, but also capture the false king and the mad queen."
Excitement lit Young Griff's youthful face. He liked this kind of aggressive plan.
He clapped his hands in approval. "Captain Harry, send our fastest ships to meet them at once. Make sure Prince Quentyn's army lands in the right place, and relay my orders!"
Just then, Princess Arianne Martell stepped forward, her eyes burning with loyalty to her family and eagerness to see her brother.
Her voice was firm. "Your Grace, please let me go. Let me meet Quentyn myself. No one can better represent Dorne, or make Quentyn understand more quickly that this is a joint operation by the alliance, not an independent military adventure by Norvos. We will coordinate from within and without to take Duskendale
