Joey instantly got a clear look at the figure blocking his attack: a hulking Nen Beast marked with the number 13.
Beside him stood five other Nen Beasts, all somewhat shorter.
His strike having missed, Joey did not wait for the Nen Beasts to pursue him. Wind blew against his body in the opposite direction, combining with the Nen he expelled to rapidly widen the distance between himself and Razor again.
But at that moment, Razor smacked the Nen Bullet in his hand toward Joey like a volleyball serve.
The speed of this Nen Bullet was in an entirely different league from the previous ones.
Clearly, this was Razor's real attack, not the probing attacks from before.
Although Joey could change direction at any moment in midair, he also knew that Razor could detonate the Nen Bullet in the air whenever he wanted.
The best approach, then, was to detonate it from afar with a ranged attack. Otherwise, once it got close, even if it missed him, the shock wave from the explosion would send him crashing toward the ground.
Out of the corner of his eye, he had already seen the six Nen Beasts beside Razor take action as Razor struck the Nen Bullet.
Four seemed to be running toward the Arena's four corners. The largest remained behind Razor, while another, marked No. 1, stood in front of him.
Rather than forming another Nen Bullet in his hand, Razor took a volleyball receiving stance.
Joey grew wary. That Nen Bullet might have other tricks to it, or Razor might have a follow-up ready!
