Morel's plan had not been to kill the targets they found outright, but to leave them half-dead like Eye.
There were probably other circumstances involved, but Morel and Shoot had not mentioned them, and Joey had not had time to ask for details.
"It's fine." Shoot shook his head. "What's done is done. Even if something goes wrong, we'll shoulder it together."

"That's not the point. The point is, if the enemy really is going after Morel, it very likely has some way of tracking him." Joey's considerations were more comprehensive than Shoot's.
