Chapter 343: Roaring × Not daring to roar × Trolls
Joey's plan was a good one, but the Insect Creator was remarkably patient. Even after the Fire Dragon had nearly wiped out the Insect Swarm, it still made no move.
This led Joey to several possible conclusions about the Insect Creator.
One was that, unlike the Fire Dragon's hatred of the insects, the Insect Creator did not hate the Fire Dragon. The provocation between them might well have been entirely one-sided.
As for what exactly had happened, that was hard to judge.
But judging solely from animal behavior, Joey thought it was more likely that the Insect Swarm had harmed the Fire Dragon's offspring, driving it to attack in a frenzy.
But that did not matter.
Another possibility was that the Insect Creator could not simply show itself and attack the way the Fire Dragon could.
If so, the Insect Creator was more like a mechanical entity with a fixed attack pattern, absolutely unable to act unless its attack conditions were met.
In that case, producing enough birdsong might make the Insect Creator attack.
He acted on the thought at once. With the Fire Dragon below having nearly torn the Insect Swarm apart, birdsong erupted in the air again.
As the birdsong rang out, Joey thought of one last possibility: the Insect Creator was clever enough to recognize the trap he had laid.
If so, its intelligence was somewhat chilling, and it might even become a persistent scourge later on.
After all, judging by the current situation, as long as it did not reveal itself, Joey and the others had no leads whatsoever to help them find it.
The birdsong brought a few more insects out of the ground, but it was a far cry from their earlier ferocious, endless
