Following the directions his pirate subordinate had given him, Norton found the skeleton drinking tea.
Just as he remembered, the skeleton was tall and thin, with an afro.
Then again, "fat" was probably a difficult word to apply to a creature like a skeleton.
The moment he heard that distinctive laugh, Norton confirmed his identity.
"Let me deliver to you~"

"Let the sea breeze blow and the waves crash~"
"The setting sun stirs beyond the tides as well~"
The song awakened memories deep in Norton's mind, bringing an involuntary smile to his lips.
The pirate following behind Norton, however, turned deathly pale. Recalling the legends of these waters, he felt an ominous thought surface in his mind.
"A demon! A demon sent by Davy Jones!" the pirate muttered.
"If you're scared, go back to the ship." Norton waved a hand.
As though granted a pardon, the pirate fled back to the ship without looking back.
The skeleton noticed Norton then, too, and took off his hat with gentlemanly courtesy to greet him.

A skeleton being afraid of zombies certainly offered plenty to comment on.
But Norton made no such comment. Instead, he invited the skeleton aboard the White Pearl as a guest and treated him to a feast.
The skeleton remained perfectly polite and gentlemanly-until Funing appeared.
