Ch. 102Wind Scar!

Sesshomaru tested Tessaiga’s full power and annihilated most of Naraku’s demon horde with repeated Wind Scar attacks. After the survivors scattered, Li Xia asked whether Sesshomaru could track Naraku and visit his castle.

  • Sesshomaru attached a human arm, drew Tessaiga, and unleashed a Wind Scar that vaporized demons and carved a molten notch into a distant hill.
  • Kagura dodged Sesshomaru’s first slash and watched in shock as its power far exceeded the Wind Scar she had seen Inuyasha use.
  • Jaken, Rin, and Li Xia watched Sesshomaru’s attack, while Naraku viewed it through Kanna’s Mirror and regretted underestimating Tessaiga.
  • Sesshomaru unleashed repeated Wind Scars, destroying more than three thousand demons and driving the remaining horde to flee.
  • Li Xia asked Sesshomaru whether he could detect Naraku’s scent and whether he wanted to visit Naraku’s Castle.

Ch. 103Extraordinary Cunning and Pinpoint Tracking Through Intimate Knowledge!

Li Xia deduced that Naraku’s demon horde had revealed the direction of his hidden castle, and he and Sesshomaru raced there. After finding the castle apparently empty and learning their allies were under attack, Li Xia realized Naraku might still be hiding beneath the castle and urged Sesshomaru to strike.

  • Li Xia reasoned that Naraku’s demon horde had come from near his castle, and Sesshomaru agreed to pursue the lead while Jaken, Rin, Sango, and Miroku followed behind.
  • Sesshomaru carried Li Xia at high speed to Naraku Castle, but they found its barrier gone and the castle apparently deserted.
  • Li Xia learned that Naraku’s Wooden Puppet and Kagura were attacking their allies, while the Poison Flood Dragon, Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Moomoo protected Rin.
  • After Sesshomaru identified Naraku’s scent leading north, Li Xia suspected the trail was a diversion because Naraku was controlling the Wooden Puppet while supposedly fleeing.
  • Li Xia urged Sesshomaru to attack the castle’s central room, and Sesshomaru unleashed Wind Scar as Naraku looked up in alarm from the underground chamber.

Ch. 104Li Xia, Was It? I'll Remember You!

Li Xia and Sesshomaru attacked Naraku’s hidden body and forced him to flee underground, destroying most of his flesh and leaving him severely weakened. After burning the scattered remains, Li Xia faced the question of whether Sesshomaru would return his sacrificed arm, and offered to leave it with him for now.

  • Sesshomaru’s Wind Scar tore through the hut and the ground beneath it, exposing and badly injuring Naraku’s hidden body.
  • Li Xia urged Sesshomaru to keep attacking and hardened the surrounding earth while flooding it with lightning to hinder Naraku’s escape.
  • Naraku abandoned most of his flesh and escaped underground, vowing to remember Li Xia.
  • Sesshomaru confirmed Naraku had escaped, and Li Xia burned the scattered flesh to prevent Naraku from reclaiming it.
  • After Rin and the others arrived, Li Xia told Sesshomaru to keep his sacrificed left arm for the time being.

Ch. 105Renting out an arm!

Li Xia explained that Naraku had only feigned death and insisted on lending Sesshomaru his left arm so he could wield Tessaiga against their enemy. He secured Sesshomaru’s promise to help him confront one of his father’s former enemies, then asked for Mountain Demon and the revival of Goshinki as a Shikigami and source of forging materials.

  • Miroku and Sango worried that Li Xia planned to sacrifice his left arm, but he explained that Naraku had faked his death and the Wind Tunnel curse would likely return.
  • Li Xia said Naraku had been weakened but would grow more dangerous, and explained that Sesshomaru needed a human left arm to wield Tessaiga against him.
  • Li Xia offered Sesshomaru his arm in exchange for help confronting a dangerous great demon connected to Sesshomaru’s father, and asked Sesshomaru not to use the arm to slaughter innocents.
  • Li Xia asked Sesshomaru for Mountain Demon so he could bind him as a Shikigami, and asked him to revive Goshinki for his teeth and forging practice.
  • Sesshomaru revived Goshinki with Tenseiga and told Li Xia that Jaken could lead him to Mountain Demon at Ogre’s Cliff.

Ch. 106Shikigami evolution!

Li Xia resurrected Black Miko Tsubaki to learn her methods for using the Shikon Jewel, then contracted Goshinki and had the Mountain Demon absorb him. The Mountain Demon gained Goshinki’s abilities, and Li Xia considered using the same approach on the Giant Demon in the Treasure Pagoda.

  • Li Xia visited Enju and worked with her to resurrect Black Miko Tsubaki in a Clay Body.
  • Li Xia forced Tsubaki to reveal her methods for using the Shikon Jewel and strengthened Enju’s three Soul Collectors.
  • Li Xia used Intermediate Spirit-Sealing Talismans and the Contract Ritual Altar to subdue the dismembered Goshinki.
  • Li Xia placed the Shikon Jewel in the Mountain Demon’s right eye and ordered it to absorb Goshinki.
  • The Mountain Demon devoured Goshinki and gained his abilities, including sharper senses, improved agility, and mind reading.

Ch. 107Better to rely on yourself than others! An unconventional path to power!

Li Xia traveled to Demon Head Castle, where a female demon was secretly rebuilding her strength after Naraku took the body parts she had recovered. Hoping to gain the magical power she had collected and strengthen himself against Naraku, Li Xia entered the castle and found two monks already there.

  • Li Xia considered how Mountain Demon could absorb more demons and gain their abilities, then promised to have a weapon made for him after the journey.
  • Li Xia left Enju and headed for Demon Head Castle, where a female demon had revived after the castle lord disturbed the seal beneath the city.
  • The female demon had previously lost her recovered limbs and torso to Naraku, then began trapping monks and miko to gather magical power and reconstruct her body.
  • Li Xia decided to pursue the practitioners' collected magical power as a rapid way to increase his strength against Naraku.
  • Li Xia flew to Demon Head Castle on the Poison Flood Dragon and sensed a dangerous presence despite the faint evil aura.
  • A guard brought Li Xia, disguised as a monk, to a courtyard where the chief steward was receiving two monks seeking to defeat the nightly demon.

Ch. 108The prettier the woman, the better she lies!

Li Xia investigated the Castle’s evil spirit and confirmed that the princess had been replaced by a female ghost, who trapped two monks in the Demon Head Mound. After collecting the magical power hidden in the real princess’s remains, Li Xia set out to rescue them.

  • The old steward explained the evil spirit’s attacks, and Li Xia considered whether the princess had already been replaced by the female ghost.
  • A ghostly head attacked the Castle, and the young monk destroyed it with talismans after mistaking its rapid recovery for real healing.
  • Li Xia noticed the princess watching the monks and suspected that she was the female ghost because she concealed every trace of demonic energy.
  • The princess lured the old monk and his disciple underground, revealed a pit of slain monks’ and Miko’s remains, and immobilized them with Evil Aura.
  • Li Xia knocked down the puppet Lord of the Castle, collected the ninety-two strands of magical power from the real princess’s remains, and prepared to rescue the trapped monks.

Ch. 109Waiting for the prey! Delivering wine!

Li Xia defeated the female ghost at Demon Head Castle, secured the castle’s rule through the princess, and began building up its defenses. He then visited the Old Immortal with the captured magical power sources and entered the Wine Vat World to meet the remnants of the fallen monks and mikos.

  • Li Xia ambushed and sealed the female ghost when she returned from the Demon Head Mound, then healed the two mages and invited them to protect villages near Kaede's Village.
  • The resurrected princess formally handed Demon Head Castle to Li Xia, who recruited four children with cultivation aptitude and left the castle in trusted hands.
  • Li Xia visited the Old Immortal, told him about Naraku and the female ghost, and shared several kinds of wine with him.
  • Li Xia asked the Old Immortal whether he could safely use the magical power sources he had obtained, and the Old Immortal proposed that he meet the souls within them.
  • Li Xia placed the magical power sources and the fallen mages’ sacred items in poisonous wine, entered the medicinal wine vat, and found himself surrounded by more than ninety monks and mikos.

Ch. 110A meteoric rise!

Li Xia gathered power from the remnant souls of the monks and mikos, surging to the Four-Star Level while making bargains to help many of them fulfill their wishes. He then dealt with the nine souls who refused to cooperate and used their power to strengthen the Great Katsura Tree Mask and the Poison Flood Dragon.

  • Li Xia told the remnant souls that the female ghost who had killed them was sealed, then asked them to lend him their strength.
  • Twenty-five souls agreed to cooperate, and their golden light rapidly increased Li Xia's magical power and strengthened his foundation.
  • After the Old Immortal separated the souls, Li Xia made deals with fifty-eight of them, including Harukusa, who agreed to lend her strength in exchange for a chance to visit someone she cared about in a Clay Body.
  • Li Xia reached the Four-Star Level, opened seventy-nine additional acupoints, and received prayer beads and several magical weapons from the souls.
  • Li Xia took the ashes of the ninety-two dead to Enju and forcibly controlled the nine souls who had refused his offers, using their negative energy to strengthen the Great Katsura Tree Mask and transform the Poison Flood Dragon.

Ch. 111The feeling of being held in someone's arms

Li Xia returned to the modern world and found Kagome unconscious, then took her to the Old Immortal to remove the Shikon Shards and wake her. After nearly half a month of training in the Wine Vat World, Li Xia and Kagome had learned new techniques and consolidated their strength.

  • Li Xia found Inuyasha still sealed to the Sacred Tree and learned that Kagome had not awakened in the hospital.
  • Kagome's mother told Li Xia that doctors had found two Shikon Shards in Kagome's neck and that Kagome inexplicably vanished from her hospital bed at midnight.
  • Li Xia arranged for Kagome to leave the hospital, took her through the Bone-Eater's Well, and asked the Old Immortal to remove the shards.
  • The Old Immortal removed the Shikon Shards, Kagome woke in the Wine Vat World, and she embraced Li Xia as she described being trapped in darkness.
  • Li Xia and Kagome trained for nearly half a month, with Kagome learning eight miko techniques and Li Xia developing defensive barriers and other support skills.
  • Monks and mikos helped Li Xia fuse several ritual implements, and both he and Kagome emerged from their training with greater strength and abilities.

Ch. 112Guilt!

Li Xia reassured Kagome after she freed Inuyasha from her Sealing Arrow, urging her to train and become more self-reliant. Inuyasha woke to learn that Li Xia had lent Sesshomaru his left arm to wield Tessaiga, leaving Inuyasha deeply guilty despite Li Xia promising to recover the sword.

  • Li Xia told Kagome that sealing Inuyasha was not her fault, but warned her to learn miko skills and prepare to protect herself.
  • Li Xia took photographs of the sealed Inuyasha, and Kagome dissolved her Sealing Arrow to wake him.
  • Inuyasha asked whether Kagome’s curse had been resolved, and she said Li Xia had taken her to the Old Immortal for help.
  • Myōga leaped onto Inuyasha’s shoulder and tried to drink his blood, but Inuyasha slapped him flat.
  • Inuyasha discovered Tessaiga was missing and learned that Sesshomaru had wielded it with Li Xia’s donated left arm to fight Naraku.
  • Li Xia promised to find a way to get Tessaiga back, and Inuyasha’s frustration turned into guilt over Li Xia’s sacrifice.

Ch. 113Splitting into two groups!

Kagura killed a giant mantis yokai that had been luring and devouring travelers, while Li Xia explained Naraku’s network and proposed splitting the group to search for Shikon Shards and investigate Naraku at once. After sharing spirit medicine and arranging protection for the Bone-Eater’s Well, Li Xia set out alone for Mount Hakurei.

  • Kagura ambushed and killed a giant mantis yokai after it devoured a young monk, then used Saimyosho to ensure the nearby village was abandoned.
  • Li Xia proposed that Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango search for Shikon Shards together while he investigated Naraku alone.
  • Li Xia warned that Kanna, Kagura, and the Saimyosho could help Naraku recover and grow stronger, and Miroku cautioned him to contact the group if he found Naraku’s trail.
  • Li Xia asked Kaede to organize construction of a large compound around the Bone-Eater’s Well and gave spirit medicine to the group.
  • Li Xia set out alone for Mount Hakurei.

Ch. 114Mount Hakurei, face-to-face with the holy monk!

Li Xia traveled to Mount Hakurei to check whether Naraku was hiding there, meet the holy monk Hakushin, and investigate demons sealed beneath the mountain. After slipping into Hakushin’s burial barrel, Li Xia came face-to-face with the monk, whose eyes suddenly opened.

  • Li Xia reviewed Mount Hakurei’s powerful Sacred Barrier and reasoned that it could protect humans while hindering demons such as Naraku.
  • Li Xia set out to meet Hakushin, learn from his legacy, and inspect the demons sealed within Mount Hakurei.
  • Li Xia considered taking the Blade of Kun, one half of the Heaven and Earth Longsword, and exchanging it with Sesshomaru for Tessaiga.
  • At the Band of Seven’s burial mound, Li Xia took the ashes of Bankotsu and Jakotsu and left the other five graves untouched as bait for Naraku.
  • Li Xia entered Hakushin’s burial barrel in the form of a tree root, but Hakushin abruptly opened his eyes and stared at him.

Ch. 115Stronger backing, a changed outlook!

Li Xia gained Hakushin’s support and received his teachings, while Hakushin chose to remain at Mount Hakurei and maintain its purification barrier. After five days of instruction, Li Xia left with a stronger cultivation foundation and turned his thoughts to what Naraku might do next.

  • Li Xia comforted Hakushin and proposed making him a clay body, but Hakushin refused because it would weaken him and put Mount Hakurei’s barrier at risk.
  • Hakushin agreed to help Li Xia suppress yokai lured to Mount Hakurei, and Li Xia asked him to become his master and teach him how to combat Naraku and other demons.
  • Hakushin taught Li Xia for five days, shared his cultivation legacy, purified lingering resentment from Li Xia’s absorbed powers, healed his hidden ailments, and erased the yokai consciousness in the Great Katsura Tree Mask.
  • Li Xia bowed to Hakushin and left Mount Hakurei with the Poison Flood Dragon and the Blade of Kun of the Heaven and Earth Longsword.
  • Li Xia wondered whether Naraku could still meet Hakushin and hoped Naraku would survive long enough to create Red Child’s vessel.

Ch. 116An unexpected boon? An unexpected surprise!

Li Xia’s growing power led him to consider pursuing immortality while remaining human, until he discovered Saimyosho attacking a giant bear for its Shikon Shard. After Naraku’s fake shard nearly caught him in a deadly trap, Li Xia confronted Kagura, who revealed she had been watching him.

  • On the Poison Flood Dragon’s back, Li Xia considered cultivating toward immortality rather than becoming a demon, and wondered about creating a loyal vessel like Moryomaru.
  • Li Xia spotted Saimyosho extracting a Shikon Shard from a giant bear and watched them kill the beast.
  • Li Xia disguised himself, trapped the Saimyosho, and destroyed most of them with an energy dragon to claim the shard.
  • A false Shikon Shard exploded with miasma when Li Xia approached, but the Great Katsura Tree Mask’s warning helped him avoid losing his remaining hand.
  • Li Xia sensed a familiar presence in the woods, attacked a tree with the Fire-Tipped Spear, and revealed Kagura, who said he was harder to trick than Inuyasha.

Ch. 117A deal with Kagura!

Li Xia captured Kagura after foiling Naraku’s trap and persuaded her to pass along information about Naraku’s plans and demons. He sent her back with a scheme to steer Naraku toward reviving Panther Cat Oyakatā, hoping to expose a threat and obtain Shikon Shards.

  • Li Xia trapped Kagura inside his Barrier, released sacred mist, and purified the Saimyosho hidden in the giant bear’s remains.
  • Li Xia offered to free Kagura from Naraku’s control if she continued working for Naraku and shared what she knew.
  • Kagura told Li Xia about demons Naraku had devoured, including the Blade-Arm Mantis and Heavy Turtle, and revealed that Naraku had recently collected seven Shikon Shards.
  • Li Xia instructed Kagura to tell Naraku that Panther Cat Oyakatā could be revived with Shikon Shards and demon offerings, and that Oyakatā could be used against Li Xia’s allies.
  • Li Xia took one of Kagura’s arms so she could return to Naraku with an injury, promising to return it later.

Ch. 118Everyone was on the move!

Kanna and Kohaku released the Golden-Eating Insect, which devoured Naraku’s flesh and transformed into Naraku. Naraku prepared to face Kikyo and Miroku, while Miroku’s Wind Tunnel reopened, confirming that Naraku was alive.

  • Kanna tried to break the seal at the temple, while Kohaku attacked the monks and corrupted Shikon Shards turned their own granddisciple against them.
  • The seal collapsed, and the Golden-Eating Insect escaped, apparently killing the abbot and the monks before destroying the temple.
  • Kanna fed Naraku’s flesh to the Golden-Eating Insect, which absorbed it and transformed into Naraku.
  • Naraku reflected on the demons he had absorbed and prepared to confront Kikyo and Miroku.
  • Miroku’s Wind Tunnel reopened, and he told Inuyasha, Sango, and Kagome that Naraku was still alive.

Ch. 119Kindness!

After returning from a month away, Li Xia’s companions came upon a village attacked by bandits led by the demon Gatenmaru. Inuyasha fought to protect the villagers, but Gatenmaru used two women as shields and poisoned Inuyasha while striking at him.

  • Inuyasha learned from an old bandit about the events that led to Kikyo’s sealing and Naraku’s birth, and refused to grant the bandit Kikyo’s forgiveness.
  • On the road, Inuyasha and his companions smelled blood and saw smoke rising from a nearby village, so they rushed to help.
  • Inuyasha attacked the bandits and discovered their leader, Gatenmaru, was a demon whom the bandits willingly followed.
  • Gatenmaru attacked Inuyasha with a demonic battle-axe, but Miroku’s talismans helped Inuyasha evade the blow and counter with Flying Blade Blood Claws.
  • Gatenmaru threw two village women toward Inuyasha, who caught them instead of dodging, then poisoned his face and struck at him while his arms were occupied.

Ch. 120Demon transformation!

Inuyasha’s demon blood awakened after Gatenmaru trapped him, letting him slaughter the bandits and defeat the moth demon before Kagome stopped him with the Subjugation Beads. Back in the village, Li Xia learned what happened, questioned Myōga’s explanation about Tessaiga, and prepared to investigate the sword’s seal while pursuing the Hojo family’s Blade of Qian and Heavenly Feather Robe.

  • Gatenmaru trapped Inuyasha, Miroku, and two village women in a poisonous cocoon while Kagome, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara fought the bandits outside.
  • Inuyasha’s demon blood awakened, healed his wounds, and drove him to kill the bandits and tear apart Gatenmaru in his true form.
  • Kagome used the Subjugation Beads to knock Inuyasha down and halt his rampage, while the surviving villagers feared him as a monster.
  • Li Xia returned to Kaede’s Village, inspected the shrine under construction, and traveled through the Bone-Eater’s Well to investigate the modern world’s terrain and the Hojo family genealogy.
  • Li Xia found records linking Higurashi Kagome to Hojo Akitsune and located the Hojo family’s ancestral homeland, where the Blade of Qian and Heavenly Feather Robe were kept.
  • Miroku and the others returned to the village and told Li Xia about Inuyasha’s awakening; Li Xia questioned Myōga’s claim that Tessaiga’s absence had caused it.

Ch. 121The seal on Inuyasha and plans to trade swords!

Myōga revealed that the Black Pearl had sealed Inuyasha’s demon blood until Sesshomaru removed it, and Li Xia decided to help Inuyasha recover Tessaiga. After the Blade of Kun nearly took control of Inuyasha, Li Xia sent Myōga to seek a replacement pearl while Sesshomaru reached a remote forest to meet one of his father’s acquaintances.

  • Myōga explained that the Black Pearl had suppressed Inuyasha’s demon blood and that Tessaiga could help keep him from losing control.
  • Li Xia decided to help Inuyasha retrieve Tessaiga rather than develop the dangerous Blade of Kun.
  • Li Xia revealed that he had attached Kagura’s severed arm and told Miroku that Kagura and Naraku had ambushed him.
  • The Blade of Kun’s evil aura clouded Inuyasha’s mind, but Miroku restrained him while Li Xia sealed the sword.
  • Li Xia gave Myōga a Shikon Shard and asked him to trade it with Hōsenki for a pearl like Inuyasha’s Black Pearl.
  • Sesshomaru arrived at a remote forest with Jaken and two burdens, and an aged voice welcomed him.
