[Witchmon, Champion, Data Type Demon Man Type Digimon. A witch-like Digimon who came from the Alternate-Dimensional Digital World, "Witchelny," in pursuit of her rival, Wizardmon. Having mastered wind and water magic (Advanced Programming Language) in her homeland of Witchelny, she followed him to this Digital World to pursue new training, hoping to become an Archmage before Wizardmon. She had a playful, adorable side, but also a somewhat cruel one. Proud and strong-willed, she hated following the rules. Her finishing moves were "Fierce Wind," a sharp wind imbued with magic, and "Water Pressure," an ultra-high-pressure jet of water capable of piercing even steel.]
Putting away her broom, Witchmon stood prettily before Mo Yan in her fiery red wizard robe.
"Witchmon?!
What are you doing here?"
Watching Witchmon land, Mo Yan felt a headache coming on.
Back when Mo Yan had left Witchelny to travel and study, it had not been solely because of Qinglongmon's orders. He had also wanted to escape Witchmon's clutches.
"Heh, why do you look so unhappy?
You should feel honored to see your Lady Witch."
Witchmon raised her hand, and wind and water magic began swirling around her.
"Commandment: Magic Seal."
The Angel Digicore appeared beside Mo Yan, releasing a divine spell that Angels used specifically against Wizards.
The Three Great Angels had developed this series of anti-magic programming languages after studying "Advanced Programming Language: Magic."
Although this series of programming languages could not completely prevent Wizards from using magic, it could effectively restrict both the power and the number of spells they cast.
"Put away those party tricks. You know spells of that level won't work under the Angel Commandments."
White light flashed, and the Angel Commandments quelled the data fluctuations Witchmon had caused as Mo Yan explained.
Ever since Mo Yan had repeatedly challenged Witchmon's papers in Witchelny and pointed out errors in her research projects,
Witchmon had set her sights on him.
Afterward, Mo Yan had been honored to experience a world for two in which they were "inseparable."
Witchmon's pranks followed him like a shadow, never abandoning him, day or night.
Mo Yan could only counter each trick as it came, treating it as practice for his ability to improvise and control magic.
As time passed, the two Wizards gradually came to "understand each other's hearts," growing so familiar that they could predict each other's next move.
"Hmph, you're still as arrogant as ever.
But you'd better not underestimate all the training I've done lately."
With a cold snort, Witchmon stirred her magic power again.
Dense, pure darkness power poured forth continuously under Witchmon's control.
"Darkness power?!
Witchmon, when did you start dabbling in dark data?!"
Seeing Witchmon draw out darkness power and manipulate it with remarkable proficiency, Mo Yan immediately questioned her.
Coming into contact with dark data was never a good thing.
If it was merely pure darkness, that was still manageable.
But the evil hidden within that darkness was extraordinarily dangerous.
One careless mistake could spell eternal doom.
"Hahaha...
Mo Yan, you're still so boring.
Are you saying you're allowed to touch darkness, but I'm not?"
Corrupted by dark data, Witchmon wore a somewhat wild expression.
"I only started collecting and studying dark data after I condensed Angel data of my own.
But I haven't seen any Angel data in you.
Recklessly touching dark data like this is extremely dangerous!
Have you forgotten the Wizard's Code?"
Faced with Witchmon's challenge, Mo Yan questioned her in return without giving an inch.
The Wizard's Code warned Wizards to take everything seriously and never attempt anything they were not confident about.
Recklessly touching something she did not understand without taking precautions, as Witchmon had done, was forbidden.
"I'm glad you still remember the Wizard's Code even as you travel farther down the knight's path. You certainly live up to your reputation as our Academy's genius Wizard.
But you're still underestimating me, the runner-up!
Now it's time to show you my results!"
Unleashing her magic power, Witchmon created a darkness domain.
"Holy Magic: Repel Evil."
A white halo spread out from the Angel Digicore, pushing back the darkness around Mo Yan.
"Spatial Magic: Dimensional Teleportation."
Raising his right hand, Mo Yan cast a spell to send Impmon away.
"Hey, you!"
Seeing the circle of light unfold beneath his feet, Impmon immediately shouted at Mo Yan.
From Witchmon and Mo Yan's conversation, Impmon seemed to have caught a whiff of juicy gossip.
In particular, there was something very suspicious about the way Witchmon looked at Mo Yan, which only strengthened Impmon's desire to sit back and enjoy the drama.
Clearly, however, Mo Yan had no intention of giving him that opportunity.
"Is that Impmon an apprentice you're teaching? He's nothing special."
Hearing Impmon address Mo Yan as "you," Witchmon was deeply displeased and immediately mocked Mo Yan's poor judgment.
"You..."
Before Impmon could even finish his first word, Mo Yan hurriedly sent him away.
"It's only to test a research project. Anyone will do, as long as they can practice magic."
With a beckoning gesture, Mo Yan summoned ten DigiCores to circle him and answered unhurriedly.
At the same time, Mo Yan summoned a barrier to defend against Witchmon's various dark spells.
"Tsk, tsk. Now that's the way of talking I know."
Hearing Mo Yan's words, Witchmon covered her mouth and chuckled, but did not stop her magical attacks.
"Exclusive Magic: Double Doppelganger."
Seeing Mo Yan get into the swing of things, Witchmon began revealing the true fruits of her recent training.
Black chains of data began winding around Witchmon's body.
Then Witchmon's figure began to blur, and great quantities of data flew out of her.
At the same time, a DigiCore flickering with black light flew out of Witchmon's body.
Immediately afterward, another Witchmon wearing a black wizard robe appeared beside her.
The Witchmon in the red wizard robe was lively and restless, blazing like fire.
The Witchmon in the black wizard robe was coolly alluring, her expression proud and crazed.
"You actually cultivated a second DigiCore?!
You're gambling with your own DigiCore!
Does our teacher know???"
Seeing Witchmon split into two, each with her own DigiCore, Mo Yan was rather shocked, and even a little panicked.
Witchmon's spell was no simple piece of magic.
She was courting death with her own DigiCore!
Digimon capable of possessing multiple DigiCores either held certain permissions or had received a gift from the Digital World.
Witchmon was not the only Digimon to entertain such wild ideas.
Quite the opposite-there were many.
Most of them were Wizards who practiced magic.
But the majority had died when their DigiCores collapsed.
Although a small number of Digimon had survived, they had all gone mad.
This meant taking a knife to one's own DigiCore!
It was like a human cutting open their own belly and chest, digging out their heart and lungs.
Then, after all that, they still had to stay alive.
Was that something a normal human could do?
Granted, for Digimon, removing their DigiCore did not mean immediate death.
But every single one of them was trying to turn one DigiCore into two!
Mo Yan admitted that two cores were indeed stronger than one, let alone twelve.
But that was no reason for Witchmon to court death like this!
"Of course our teacher knows. I only succeeded because he helped me."
Tugging at the brim of her hat, the red-robed Witchmon spoke with exceptional pride.
"..."
Hearing that, Mo Yan really wanted to applaud her-and give her a good thrashing while he was at it.
You're still alive, and you can still bounce around. That certainly is something to be proud of.
Suddenly, Mo Yan regretted giving SageMon his research report on multiple DigiCores.
