Teacher IceWizardmon set me up!
When Witchmon said she had put Teacher IceWizardmon to sleep so "easily," Mo Yan's first reaction was that his teacher had set him up.
After all, with Teacher IceWizardmon's mastery of magic, how could Witchmon possibly have caught him out without his tacit consent?
Suddenly, Mo Yan recalled the way Teacher IceWizardmon used to look at him and Witchmon, along with the rumors that had begun circulating through the academy at some point.
At once, Mo Yan understood some of Teacher IceWizardmon's intentions.
Activating the ten DigiCores surrounding him, Mo Yan decided to teach Witchmon a lesson on Teacher IceWizardmon's behalf first.
Besides, Mo Yan also intended to vent some of his "anguish and indignation."
Moving both hands as though playing a piano, Mo Yan began composing a new magic program.
Digital characters formed from "Advanced Programming Language Magic" appeared around him, one after another.
Then, under Mo Yan's control, these digital characters rearranged themselves again and again and again, forming one command after another.
Upon receiving their commands, Mo Yan's ten DigiCores immediately began generating and unleashing their power.
The dark DigiCore began disrupting BlackWitchmon's control over the darkness domain.
The plant Digicore further encroached on the area under the darkness domain's control.
The Angel Digicore began releasing holy power, continually purifying the data drawn in by Darkness Power.
The other seven DigiCores transcribed this purified data, preventing BlackWitchmon from using it again.
At the same time, Mo Yan took the opportunity to increase the amount of data stored in these DigiCores, paving the way for better evolution research in the future.
"You still love seizing every opening, never letting a chance to profit slip by."
With a soft chuckle, BlackWitchmon gathered her Darkness Power of her own accord, shrinking the reach of the darkness domain.
Meanwhile, Red Witchmon also began channeling her magic power, preparing for a final strike.
Noticing the Witchmons' movements, Mo Yan began changing his commands as well, directing his ten DigiCores to circle him at a peculiar frequency.
Vast amounts of data transformed into magic power of different attributes, filling the dark space.
The magical data of different attributes became streams of particles in different colors, painting the space with extraordinary beauty.
"Fierce Wind Water Vortex!"
With wind elements in one hand and water elements in the other, Red Witchmon fused her signature moves, "Fierce Wind" and "Water Pressure," into a new spell and unleashed it at Mo Yan.
"Darkness Wave!"
BlackWitchmon combined the gathered Darkness Power with the darkness domain to form a dark energy sphere, then hurled it toward Mo Yan.
Wherever the dark energy sphere passed, space rippled in waves, revealing its terrifying destructive power.
"Ten Directions Annihilation!"
The ten rapidly orbiting DigiCores shone with dazzling light and, under Mo Yan's control, began generating immense power.
Ten kinds of magic power with different attributes generated and destroyed one another, giving birth to a power that could encompass everything and destroy everything.
In an instant, the two sides' attacks collided.
The attack composed of ten different kinds of magic power acted like a massive millstone, drawing in all of Witchmon's attacks.
The two forces belonging to different masters began a contest of the most primal kind.
Soon, the contest began to reveal a winner.
Though Mo Yan's attack was complex and ever-changing, it lacked purity.
Yet through his exquisite control, Mo Yan made this multi-attribute power cycle between its attributes.
With this effect at work, Witchmon's attacks, absorbed by "Ten Directions Annihilation," initially managed to resist the massive millstone's grinding force.
But as "Ten Directions Annihilation" began analyzing the data of these attacks and cycling through its attributes, their resistance steadily crumbled.
Within this millstone, the powers of water, wind, and darkness were continually broken apart and absorbed, strengthening "Ten Directions Annihilation."
As one side weakened and the other grew stronger, Witchmon's attacks were dismantled.
While grinding down these attacks, the millstone also continually refined and purified their data.
Under Mo Yan's control, the millstone formed by "Ten Directions Annihilation" merely swallowed all of Witchmon's attacks without continuing on to strike her.
"Wait, you've started experimenting again?!"
Witchmon retrieved the dark DigiCore, which had returned to its original state after exhausting its power. Seeing the wheel of light still shimmering with brilliant colors, she spoke to Mo Yan with exasperation written all over her face.
Damn brainiac!!!
"Yes, I want to see whether the dark data you collected has any hidden dangers and eliminate them for you.
"Besides, I also want to test a few ideas of my own. The Holy Ring I condensed not long ago happens to support this kind of operation."
Watching the scene within the wheel of light, Mo Yan kept swiping both hands back and forth as though they were spasming.
At this point, the benefits of collecting chivalry data became apparent.
If Mo Yan still had the physique of an ordinary Wizardmon, finger cramps would have forced him to stop long ago.
He could never have kept going like this-not only without tiring, but even taking a certain pleasure in it.
No wonder Teacher SageMon abandoned a physical body and became incorporeal.
Suddenly, this thought flashed through Mo Yan's mind once again.
Now, Mo Yan was even more determined to collect chivalry data, and he finally settled on an evolutionary direction for his wizard Digicore.
Sure enough, magic wasn't something just any Digimon could research.
"..."
Hearing Mo Yan's words, Witchmon could only sit sulkily on her Flying Broomstick and watch his work in a huff.
Witchmon knew very well that when Mo Yan became engrossed in experimental verification, it was best not to disturb him.
No!
This could be called a taboo shared by all Wizards-a universal rule!
The greater a Wizard's mastery of magic, the more they hated being disturbed while testing a hypothesis.
Not only would it interrupt a Wizard's fleeting inspiration, it could also cause an experiment to fail, creating a terrifying magical disaster.
Thus, Witchmon could only watch Mo Yan test his hypothesis in a huff while taking on the duty of guarding him.
"Little Black!"
A Little Demon in a shadow-like form appeared in response to Witchmon's call.
"Master!"
The Little Demon grinned, looking at Witchmon ingratiatingly.
"Go keep watch from the air."
Looking at her familiar, Witchmon grabbed the Little Demon's smoke-like body and threw it into the air, as though venting her feelings of grievance.
"Yes, Master."
Blinking those bright red eyes, the Little Demon answered with boundless energy, seemingly unconcerned by anything Witchmon had done.
Once that was done, Witchmon glanced at Mo Yan, who was earnestly "spasming," then turned her gaze toward the brilliant wheel of light, where some new data seemed to be coming into being.
An exceptionally pure strand of data was slowly taking shape.
To Witchmon's senses, this strand of data was:
Holy, vast, warm.
Embracing everything, encompassing everything.
Like the brightest light, yet also like the deepest darkness.
This strand of data radiated a wondrous power that Witchmon could not describe.
