Back with Mo Yan's main body.
As the Wizard Digicore completed its evolution to Ultimate, the exchange between light and dark data seemed to receive an infusion of new power.
A new transformation began.
Flame Angemon's Divine Attendant Form, aligned with light, changed from a phantom into a physical body, officially becoming Mo Yan's third independently materialized Digimon form.
Dark Angemon, aligned with darkness, emerged from Mo Yan, taking the dark data and DigiCore along to become his fourth materialized Digimon form.
Mo Yan, now separated from them, changed into his Knightmon form.
Watching Dark Angemon leave him and stand opposite Flame Angemon, Mo Yan stepped back to Witchmon's side.
"Mo Yan, what's going on?"
Although Witchmon had somewhat prepared herself, she still asked aloud when she saw two Angel-type Digimon, one light and one dark, take physical form from Mo Yan in succession.
"This is the difference between being born with multiple DigiCores and splitting a DigiCore afterward."
Glancing at Witchmon, Mo Yan seemed to think of something and spoke in a rather cutting tone.
"Damn you, Mo Yan. Don't think I don't know what you're thinking. You just object to me splitting my DigiCore and dabbling in dark data.
If you have something to say, say it. Stop making snide remarks!"
Witchmon crossed her arms beneath her ample chest and snapped at Mo Yan.
"I'm making snide remarks?!
Why don't you mention how insane your behavior was?!
What if splitting your DigiCore had failed?
What if you hadn't withstood the corruption from the dark data?"
With Witchmon bringing up the subject again, Mo Yan could not help feeling his anger flare once more.
Granted, Witchmon had successfully split her DigiCore and brought the dark data's corruption under control.
But Mo Yan could still imagine the dangers involved.
He utterly loathed it.
He treated SageMon, Witchmon, and the others as family, yet they went ahead with such dangerous experiments!
Had they ever considered how he would feel?
"Tch, it worked, didn't it?"
Witchmon turned her head slightly and pouted.
"It worked?!"
Hearing Witchmon say those words, Mo Yan repeated them, his voice rising several notches.
His raised voice made Witchmon instinctively pull down her wizard hat.
"So I sent my research back just so you could conduct dangerous experiments like this?!"
When Witchmon said nothing further, Mo Yan knew his words had not sunk in, but he still had to make his stance clear.
Otherwise, who knew what other experiments they might conduct that would leave him reeling?
As a Wizard-type Digimon himself, Mo Yan understood how Wizards thought.
"Teacher SageMon calculated it. The success rate was ninety-nine percent. The remaining one percent was left out of respect for the unknown.
Or are you saying you don't trust Teacher SageMon?!"
When Witchmon raised her head again, she had abruptly shifted into her dark form.
She had made that choice because she knew she could not win an argument against Mo Yan.
After all, Witchmon herself was in the wrong.
So she simply switched to her dark form.
That way, even without a leg to stand on, she could still force her point, not to mention bolster her imposing presence.
"..."
Seeing Witchmon's red wizard robe rapidly turn black, Mo Yan knew exactly what she was thinking.
At that, he lost the desire to keep lecturing her.
After all, trying to argue with a dark-type Digimon was an extremely unwise move.
So Mo Yan turned his gaze toward the twin angels of light and darkness.
Meanwhile, seeing Mo Yan turn his attention to the twin angels, dark Witchmon covered her mouth and chuckled.
By then, the twin angels had completed their exchange and reached equilibrium.
The two angels turned back into DigiCores.
Then the two DigiCores spiraled around each other and plunged into Mo Yan's body.
Noticing this, Witchmon instinctively took the following two actions.
First, in a flash, she raised her hand and released a domain barrier, once again cutting them off from the Human World.
Second, she immediately mounted her Flying Broomstick and rose into the air, then raised her hand to cast dozens of defensive barriers around herself.
Her ability to do all that in such a short time showed just how familiar Witchmon was with this sight.
Only after finishing all this did Witchmon look at Mo Yan, who was undergoing another transformation.
This time, it seems different from before, Witchmon thought silently.
After the light and dark DigiCores entered Mo Yan's body, black and white light erupted from him.
Amid that black and white radiance, all eleven DigiCores currently within Mo Yan flew out.
As those eleven DigiCores manifested, Mo Yan once again broke apart into a vast mass of data.
At the same time, a streak of light flashed across the sky.
With unstoppable momentum, that light passed through Witchmon's defensive barriers in the blink of an eye and forcefully joined the cycle formed by the eleven DigiCores.
It was Mo Yan's Wizard Digicore, the first DigiCore to complete its evolution to Ultimate.
With all twelve DigiCores gathered, a new power began to emerge.
Guided by that power, Mo Yan's twelve DigiCores arranged themselves into a twelve-sided polyhedron.
Inside that polyhedron was all of Mo Yan's data.
The twelve DigiCores continually flashed with different lights, releasing various powers.
The multicolored radiance looked dazzling and utterly dreamlike.
Of course, it was also extremely dangerous.
Enclosed within the dodecahedron, all of Mo Yan's data underwent another reorganization, as well as another mutual exchange.
However, this reorganization and exchange differed from the balanced exchange between light and darkness.
This was a unification of data on a higher level.
This unification did not require the data attached to their respective DigiCores to achieve complete balance and unity.
The data only needed to reach agreement to a certain extent.
If an analogy had to be made, it was like creating a folder and then dragging several other folders into it.
Within that large folder, there was no need to unpack the smaller folders or mix their contents together.
What Mo Yan needed was for all twelve folders to be placed inside the large folder named Mo Yan.
Mo Yan had experienced something similar before.
It was just that this time, the commotion was a little greater.
It was like extracting a data archive, reorganizing the resulting folders, and then compressing them into an archive again.
Though the description was not entirely accurate, it was close enough.
Ever since Mo Yan had begun specializing his twelve DigiCores, he had needed to reorganize his data every time it changed.
Naturally, the scale of that reorganization varied.
As long as the twelve DigiCores remained within Mo Yan, that reorganization was always ongoing.
It was just that this time, Mo Yan had taken in far too much data, and far too much new data had been generated.
His Dark Angemon form had been born, he had absorbed the data sent by SageMon, and he had devoured that enormous data vortex.
Finally, Mo Yan had also completed his Wizard Digicore's evolution to Ultimate.
That was why Mo Yan needed to sort through his data on such a spectacular scale.
After an unknown amount of time, the dodecahedron, which had been constantly expanding and contracting like a beating heart, slowly settled down.
