Ch. 181Untitled

Mo Yan left the Digital Space after DigiDeath D-Reaper’s residual data transformed his Twelve Digicores, while Gallantmon declined the Authority Power and amused himself at Mo Yan’s expense. Back in New Nishijuku Park, Takato Matsuki and Guilmon pursued the fog, leaving Alice crying with her Digi-Egg as Rika Makino and Lee Jin-woo went after them.

  • Gallantmon agreed to Mo Yan’s request on the condition that he receive the data on Takato Matsuki and Guilmon.
  • Mo Yan’s Twelve Digicores took Digimon forms, gained DigiSoul power, and underwent adjustments using DigiDeath D-Reaper’s data.
  • Mo Yan offered the Authority Power data to Gallantmon, who refused it, so Mo Yan kept it for himself.
  • When Mo Yan tried to leave the Digital Space, his body began to dissipate, and he used Grand Mage Beast’s DigiCore to take that form and pass through the exit.
  • After Mo Yan and DigiDeath D-Reaper vanished into the fog at New Nishijuku Park, Takato Matsuki and Guilmon ran after them.
  • Rika Makino and Lee Jin-woo went after Takato while the others stayed to comfort Alice, who was crying and holding a Digi-Egg.

Ch. 182Takato Matsuki swore to reclaim Wormmon's data

Takato Matsuki tried to enter the fog-covered Digital Battle Arena to reclaim Wormmon’s data, but the arena vanished before he could get inside. Convinced that Wormmon could still be saved, Takato evolved Guilmon into Gallantmon and flew off to search for Mo Yan and D-Reaper.

  • Takato Matsuki found that neither he nor his D-Ark could breach the fog, and Li Jianliang guessed that Mo Yan had moved the Digital Battle Arena to keep them out.
  • After the fog disappeared, Takato worried that Wormmon’s lost data might erase his memories and personality, while Li Jianliang argued that Wormmon could begin again as a Digi-Egg.
  • Takato insisted that they should recover Wormmon’s data rather than risk losing the partner they knew, and Li Jianliang fell silent instead of arguing further.
  • Guilmon took Takato’s hand, and Takato evolved with him into Gallantmon.
  • Takato reasoned that Mo Yan and D-Reaper were still in the Human World because the Four Holy Beasts had sealed the passages, then flew off to find them.

Ch. 183Just bluffing

Takato Matsuki searched Okinawa Island for Mephistomon’s old Digital Space, hoping to recover Wormmon’s data, but Mo Yan said he could not help. Mo Yan then told Takato that the Four Holy Beasts had ordered all Digimon in the Human World to return before the worlds were sealed off, leaving Takato desperate to keep Guilmon and the others with their partners.

  • Gallantmon searched the submerged Experimental Base for the Digital Space but found no trace of it, and Takato Matsuki returned to the beach with Guilmon.
  • Mo Yan told Takato that he could not stop Wormmon’s original owner from reclaiming Wormmon’s data, leaving Takato torn between loyalty to his partner and his sense of justice.
  • Mo Yan announced that the Four Holy Beasts had ordered all Digimon in the Human World to return to the Digital World before the passage between the worlds was sealed.
  • Takato argued that humans and Digimon could live together, citing his friends and their partners, but Mo Yan said the decision could not be stopped and vanished.

Ch. 184The plot was gone, for better and worse

Mo Yan used the Ionosphere and the power of his eleven other DigiCores to send the Digimon in the Human World back to the Digital World and alter humans’ knowledge of them. He stopped Takato Matsuki and his companions from resisting, leaving them separated from Guilmon and the others as the story ended with their departure.

  • Mo Yan drew on his DigiCores, Digital Space, and the Ionosphere to build a barrier of hexagonal panes across the Ionosphere.
  • Mo Yan activated the barrier, and pillars of light began carrying Digimon back to the Digital World while many Tamers reluctantly let their partners go.
  • Takato Matsuki and his companions fused with their Digimon to resist, disrupting the barrier’s screening program.
  • Mo Yan adjusted the barrier to break the fusions, then devolved Guilmon and the others to their In-Training forms.
  • Takato Matsuki and his companions watched Guilmon and the others disappear into the sky, then knelt and wept.

Ch. 185Wrapping things up

After the Digimon returned to the Digital World, Mo Yan erased most humans’ memories of them and sent the resulting data to the Digital World. He then modified the barrier to gather and distribute future data before leaving for his Digital Space to incorporate it into his Crystal Ball.

  • Mo Yan watched Guilmon and the others return to the Digital World, then used electromagnetic signals to extract most humans’ memories of Digimon and transmit the data to the Digital World guarded by the Four Holy Beasts.
  • Mo Yan lost the temporary Authority that let him locate humans and Digimon worldwide, but stayed to reprogram the hexagonal lenses into an invisible membrane hidden by the ionosphere.
  • Mo Yan configured the membrane to collect and convert redundant Human World data, allocating forty percent to the Digital World, forty percent to the Four Holy Beasts and their subordinates, and twenty percent of refined data to himself.
  • Mo Yan opened a passage to the Digital Space and entered, intending to pack it up and incorporate it into his Crystal Ball.

Ch. 186Good thing I have enough DigiCores

Mo Yan sent Royal Knight Gallantmon back with data to improve his evolution and dispatched several DigiCores to handle missions across different Digital Worlds. He assigned Grand Mage Beast to package up the Digital Space and sent BloomLordmon’s DigiCore away, leaving himself with four DigiCores to enter the coming conflicts.

  • Mo Yan gave Royal Knight Gallantmon the data light and opened a passage so he could hurry back to seek revenge on Royal Knight Omnimon.
  • Mo Yan sent Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Sassumusmon through a portal to cooperate with Genai on the Holy Digimon’s Digivice plan.
  • Mo Yan used Bai Ze’s mark to send Yatagarasu Beast into the Mountain and Sea Digital World to investigate the eastern Digimon’s plans.
  • Mo Yan returned to Knightmon: Legendary Mode and assigned Grand Mage Beast, Martial Heaven Beast, and Twin Stars to package up the Digital Space before going to Witchelny.
  • Mo Yan sent BloomLordmon’s DigiCore to the Forest of Insects because he rejected the influence of human spiritual power.
  • Mo Yan put away the Darkdramon, Void DestructionDramon, and self DigiCores, leaving himself with four DigiCores for the coming conflicts.

Ch. 187A great evolution

Mo Yan’s split consciousnesses left the Digital Space while their summoned Digimon continued the reclamation work. Traveling through the Digital Void, Mo Yan encountered Yggdrasill’s true form and learned how she had transformed the original Digital World into a multiverse.

  • Grand Mage Beast created clones to continue working, then opened a passage to an unknown destination, while Martial Heaven Beast summoned versions of himself from a few seconds earlier and left using spacetime power.
  • Twin Stars released FlameLeomon’s data, evolved him into ApolloMon, and left for the Iliad Digital World; the split consciousness’s name changed to Single Star.
  • The summoned worker Digimon continued reclaiming data after Grand Mage Beast, Martial Heaven Beast, and Single Star had departed.
  • Mo Yan sensed his split consciousnesses leaving but continued through the Digital Void, trusting them to handle their work.
  • Mo Yan saw Yggdrasill’s true form, a vast tree-shaped data stream that she had created by dividing and editing the original Digital World into a multiverse.

Ch. 188Facing a Royal Knight: Monzaemon

Mo Yan entered the Digital World where Yggdrasill tested the Alpha Program and was pulled into the Royal Knights’ battle royale. After evolving into Imperial Heaven War Dragonmon, he fought Monzaemon and ended the chapter looking nearly untouched while Monzaemon was tired and disheveled.

  • Mo Yan arrived at the Digital World where the Royal Knights were fighting to test the Alpha Program and observe their strength.
  • A force pulled Mo Yan through the world barrier, and he fused his three DigiCores with the one inside him before evolving into Imperial Heaven War Dragonmon.
  • Monzaemon attacked Mo Yan, and Gankoomon stepped aside to watch their fight.
  • Mo Yan and Monzaemon traded dragon-shaped energy attacks, then fought hundreds of close-combat exchanges.
  • Monzaemon ended the fight visibly tired and disheveled, while Mo Yan remained almost unchanged.

Ch. 189The Dragon Emperor's Overwhelming Presence

Mo Yan fought Examon, using one of his DigiCores to create a Metal Divine Dragon that could defend independently. Their collision sent Mo Yan underground and Examon crashing into the world's barrier, but the Royal Knights stopped laughing when they noticed something underground.

  • Monzaemon admitted he could not defeat four-core Mo Yan without using his ultimate move, then withdrew from the sparring match.
  • Examon stepped forward to fight Mo Yan, and the Royal Knights cleared space for them.
  • Examon threw Ambrosius at Mo Yan, who blocked the lance and counterattacked, but Examon's dragon wings Kaledwulf intercepted the attack.
  • Mo Yan separated a DigiCore and assembled a Metal Divine Dragon, increasing his speed while giving himself autonomous defense.
  • Examon charged Mo Yan, and their collision sent Mo Yan deep underground and Examon against the world's barrier.
  • Examon fired eleven laser blasts at the laughing Royal Knights, who countered with their own attacks before turning their attention underground.

Ch. 190Dragon Emperor vs. Dragon Emperor (False): The Melee Begins

Mo Yan used his four DigiCores’ computational power to control fallen fragments and transformed into a giant dragon to fight Examon on equal terms. Their battle drew in Royal Knights whose Dragon Factor compelled them to transform into dragons and join the melee.

  • After being smashed underground, Mo Yan realized his four DigiCores increased his computational power and used it to keep fallen fragments from dissipating.
  • Mo Yan transformed into a giant dragon resembling Greeza Ultimate Form and Examon, then faced Examon in the air.
  • Mo Yan and Examon exchanged tail-weapon blows before landing and fighting with claws and brute strength.
  • Their battle stirred the Dragon Factor in Royal Knights including UlforceVeedramon and Monzaemon, who struggled to suppress their urge to join.
  • Monzaemon and the other affected Royal Knights released their Dragon Factor, transformed into enormous dragons, and joined the fight.

Ch. 191The X Project Officially Began

Five colossal dragons battled inside a barrier while their data spawned fighting fire Digimon, and the Royal Knights turned back to their plans. Gallantmon absorbed Mo Yan’s data and the first stable X-Antibody, became Gallantmon X, and arrived above the newly evolved Digimon’s location.

  • Monzaemon, Magnamon, and UlforceVeedramon joined Mo Yan and Examon, prompting Omnimon to ask Yggdrasill to isolate the battlefield from the experiments.
  • Dragon Breath melted the ground, and lava absorbed the dragons’ data and spawned fire Digimon that fought one another.
  • After the Digimon destined to become Alphamon reached the Ultimate stage, Omnimon and LordKnightmon went to the Virtual Space, while Gallantmon headed toward the Digimon’s location.
  • Gallantmon absorbed Mo Yan’s data and the stable X-Antibody, evolving into Gallantmon X to avoid arousing the Digimon’s suspicions.
  • Gallantmon X’s speed increased, and he appeared in the sky above the Digimon’s location.

Ch. 192The fearless warrior, DORUmon

Gallantmon X returned to the battlefield, helped the Digimon retreat, and urged DORUmon to seek answers from Yggdrasill. DORUmon entered the passage Gallantmon X opened while Gallantmon X stayed behind to fight the copies.

  • Gallantmon X cleared away the copies and ordered WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X to lead the Digimon in retreat.
  • WarGreymon X carried DemiDevimon X to safety after DORUmon promised he would come find them.
  • Gallantmon X fought the attacking copies and told DORUmon that every life wished to survive and was not rejected by the world.
  • DORUmon asked Gallantmon X to explain what he was and why he was there, then agreed to seek answers from Yggdrasill.
  • Gallantmon X opened a passage with the Holy Shield, and DORUmon charged through it to find Yggdrasill.

Ch. 193The beginning of the Hikarigaoka incident

Myotismon, Cerberumon, Sassumusmon, Genai, and Piximon finalized the Digivice project and began its first event, the Hikarigaoka incident. An Agumon Digi-Egg materialized in a little girl’s home, drawn to the pure light within her, as the observers wondered who she was.

  • Myotismon and the other split consciousnesses told Mo Yan they were ready to begin the Digivice project with Genai.
  • Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Sassumusmon met Genai and Piximon, then negotiated the trials and secured permission to act as villains opposing the Chosen Children.
  • Myotismon used Mo Yan’s memories of the original story to help Genai and Piximon develop a detailed plan, beginning with the Hikarigaoka incident.
  • Sassumusmon and Genai modified an Agumon Digi-Egg with screening and marking programs and amplified its wildness before Genai opened the Digital Gate to Hikarigaoka.
  • Cerberumon deployed the Digi-Egg, which materialized inside a home near a three- or four-year-old girl and her older brother.
  • Piximon sensed unusually pure light within the girl, and Myotismon questioned whether Genai’s big boss had created her.

Ch. 194Something Was Off About Botamon

Taichi Yagami and Hikari Yagami discovered a Digi-Egg in their home, which hatched into Botamon after a chaotic breakfast mishap. In the Digital World, Sassumusmon and Genai realized the newborn carried unexpected ancient data, drawing suspicious looks from Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Piximon.

  • Taichi Yagami carried the Digi-Egg to bed for Hikari Yagami, who fell asleep hugging it.
  • Taichi Yagami woke, made breakfast, and gave Hikari a fried egg while she held the Digi-Egg.
  • Hikari dropped the Digi-Egg, which rolled into the bedroom and hatched into Botamon.
  • Botamon struck Taichi in the face, and Taichi chased it while retaliating with his goggles.
  • Sassumusmon and Genai questioned each other after discovering that Botamon carried ancient data.
  • Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Piximon turned suspiciously toward Sassumusmon and Genai.

Ch. 195What made Hikari Yagami special

Sassumusmon, Genai, and the others discovered that Yggdrasill had hidden ancient data and an activation program in the Digi-Eggs, and that Hikari Yagami had triggered it. They added Hikari to their list of variables and revised their plan again, while remaining unsure who had arranged for her to be there.

  • Sassumusmon and Genai denied tampering with the abnormal Botamon and identified Yggdrasill as the one who had altered the Digi-Egg.
  • Sassumusmon, Genai, Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Piximon found that Yggdrasill had embedded ancient data and an activation program throughout the Digi-Eggs.
  • The five determined that Hikari Yagami, rather than Taichi Yagami, had activated the program in the replicated egg.
  • Sassumusmon and the others realized they had been overlooking Hikari's unusual influence and placed data firewalls around themselves.
  • The five added Hikari to their list of variables and revised their plan, delaying her entry into the Digital World until they learned who had arranged for her to be there.

Ch. 196Daily life in the Yagami family

Hikari Yagami calmed the newly hatched Botamon with her whistle, and she and Taichi Yagami watched it evolve into Koromon after a burst of electronic malfunctions. Koromon ate the cat’s food and was chased around the bedroom by the angry cat, with nowhere left to escape.

  • Hikari Yagami soothed Botamon with her whistle, then fed it snacks while Taichi Yagami tried out names for the creature.
  • The household electronics malfunctioned, and Taichi Yagami returned to find Botamon had evolved into Koromon.
  • Hikari Yagami brought Koromon the cat’s food, and Koromon pounced on her before Taichi Yagami pulled it away.
  • Koromon ate from the cat’s bowl, provoking the cat to chase it around the bedroom.
  • Koromon became trapped in the room and fled from the cat until it had nowhere left to run.

Ch. 198The difficulty of replicating Yggdrasill's technology

Piximon gave up confronting Genai, Sassumusmon, Myotismon, and Cerberumon and watched the Yagami siblings with Koromon instead. The four Digimon then began trying to create programs for Parrotmon, struggling to replicate Yggdrasill’s technology.

  • Genai, Sassumusmon, Myotismon, and Cerberumon sealed Piximon’s voice as she raised her magic lance, and Piximon lowered it after realizing she could not defeat them.
  • The four Digimon lifted the seal, but Piximon continued watching the Yagami siblings play with Koromon rather than retaliating.
  • Sassumusmon, Myotismon, Cerberumon, and Genai left the monitoring room to code enhanced detection and scanning programs for Parrotmon.
  • Parrotmon arrived at the data-storage area, where the four Digimon split into pairs and began working to load the programs without triggering his evolution.
  • The four Digimon studied the technology Yggdrasill had used on two Digi-Eggs, but they struggled to understand and reproduce it.

Ch. 199The Royal Knights' Happy Digimon Lives

Omnimon and LordKnightmon beat DORUmon in Yggdrasill’s Digital Space until his resolve triggered the planned evolution into Alphamon. After Alphamon asked again to meet Yggdrasill, Omnimon and LordKnightmon agreed and led him deeper into the Digital Space.

  • Omnimon attacked DORUmon while LordKnightmon mocked him, then kicked him as the two Royal Knights took advantage of the chance to bully him.
  • DORUmon recalled his promise to his companions and resolved to find Yggdrasill and learn the answers to his questions.
  • The Digital Space detected DORUmon’s conviction and activated Yggdrasill’s preset program, causing him to evolve into Alphamon.
  • Omnimon and LordKnightmon stopped their abuse and agreed to Alphamon’s request for an audience with Yggdrasill.
  • Alphamon followed Omnimon into the depths of the Digital Space.

Ch. 200Death-X-DORUgoramon

Alphamon (replica) and Omnimon found Yggdrasill’s central system, where a preset procedure unleashed Death-X-DORUgoramon. Alphamon (replica) fought the Digimon, but after Omnimon’s intervention gave him the Dramon Breaker, he discovered that injuries inflicted on Death-X-DORUgoramon were reflected on his own body.

  • Alphamon (replica) approached Yggdrasill’s central system, triggering a preset procedure that released Death-X-DORUgoramon.
  • Omnimon recognized that Death-X-DORUgoramon lacked a DigiCore and sensed its hunger for other Digimon’s DigiCores.
  • Alphamon (replica) attacked Death-X-DORUgoramon, but his rough fighting skills left him on the defensive until the Digimon caught him.
  • Omnimon activated another program, and Alphamon (replica) received a message that helped him open a passage and draw out the Dramon Breaker.
  • Alphamon (replica) cut off Death-X-DORUgoramon’s hand, but his own wrist suffered the same injury, revealing a possible connection between them.

Ch. 201Omnimon X, a feeling of newness

Alphamon (replica) sacrificed himself to destroy Death-X-DORUgoramon and gave Omnimon the X-Antibody, asking him to stop Yggdrasill from destroying the Digital World. Omnimon reflected on how he had changed over time, absorbed the X-Antibody, and became Omnimon X.

  • Alphamon (replica) restrained Death-X-DORUgoramon and pierced them both with the Ultimate War Blade: King Dragon Blade, destroying Death-X-DORUgoramon.
  • Alphamon (replica) pulled the X-Antibody from his body, gave it to Omnimon, and asked him to stop Yggdrasill from destroying the Digital World before dissolving into data.
  • Omnimon recalled how he had once questioned Yggdrasill but had become numb and obedient, and how Homeostasis had later led the Royal Knights to defy the terminals.
  • Omnimon absorbed the X-Antibody and transformed into Omnimon X, gaining the power to anticipate opponents' moves and the special move All Delete.
  • Omnimon X admired his new form, reflected on advice from a mystical outsider, and walked toward the Crystal Ball.
