"What's wrong?"

Mo Si noticed a slight change in the female reporter's expression.

Before that change, the reporter had reached up to steady her earpiece.

Clearly, someone had said something to her through it.

"I'm fine."

A light sheen of sweat appeared on the reporter's forehead. She gave an awkward smile. "Um... Miss Angewomon, the prime minister is on his way. Please rest assured and wait here."

In truth, the station had just cut the public broadcast. Whoever had cut it had also instructed her to find a way to keep Angewomon and the other Digimon on the food street. The personnel responsible for handling these matters were already speeding over in their cars.

It looked like she really had gotten caught up in something serious.

Just my luck, just my luck, just my luck!

The reporter felt like crying, but no tears came.

"Oh?" Angewomon looked the reporter over.

She had a cute face and glossy black hair that just reached her shoulders. She wore a women's suit over a white shirt, with a work badge hanging around her neck, matte black stockings on her legs, and black block-heeled shoes on her feet.

Simple and professional-the very ordinary image of a television reporter.

"Miss Angewomon, is something wrong?" Although the mask hid her eyes, the reporter could feel Mo Si's gaze, and the pressure on her instantly doubled.

Mo Si stepped closer to the reporter, one step at a time, until their headlights faced off.

Hers sat higher, since she was taller than the reporter.

"Has the livestream ended?" Mo Si asked.

"N-no, it hasn't." The reporter's face flushed as she answered nervously.

Only the public broadcast had been cut. The internal feed was still running.

"I see..."

Mo Si smiled faintly and turned around, spotting Goblimon eating takoyaki in the crowd.

She walked over and grabbed Goblimon's head with one hand.

"Boss..." Cold sweat broke out on Goblimon's head as he trembled. "I really was hungry."

"I can tell."

Mo Si patted Goblimon's head and smiled. "Don't be so nervous. I'm not blaming you."

Although she had been furious at first, Goblimon's behavior had given her some inspiration.

"It's perfectly normal to get hungry when you haven't eaten."

Mo Si turned to Etemon, Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gekomon, Kunemon, and the other Digimon. "You're hungry too, aren't you? Come over and eat with us."

After their capture, these Digimon had been confined in hibernation pods. Although the anesthetic fluid in the pods contained nutrients, it had only barely kept them alive. Now that they had escaped and run some distance, they really were hungry.

"Can we really eat?" Mushroomon, Otamamon, and Gekomon were drooling.

Etemon, however, looked worried.

Kunemon was a Digimon resembling a yellow caterpillar. Although he could understand speech, he couldn't speak or even make facial expressions.

"Of course." Mo Si nodded, then looked at the reporter. "Everyone can eat and drink for free, and the television station will cover the bill, right?"

The reporter froze for a moment. What did any of this have to do with her?

Oh, the station's paying. That's fine, then.

"Yes, yes, absolutely." The reporter nodded repeatedly.

Mo Si raised her left hand and pointed at the sky, the Fairy Tail emblem on her left arm particularly striking. "Then let's feast!"

"Yeah!!!"

The Digimon's appearance had plunged the food street into silence, but a single sentence from Mo Si brought it bustling back to life. Not only were the hungry Digimon digging in, but passing customers were streaming in as well.

Meanwhile, a DATS police car was on its way there.

There were four life-forms in the car.

Three humans and one Digimon.

The three humans were DATS members Marcus Damon, Thomas H. Norstein, and Yoshino Fujieda, while the Digimon was Agumon.

Unlike the best-known Agumon, this one was a size larger, with bigger nostrils and red leather straps around his claws. He was an Agumon subspecies-Agumon.

In the front passenger seat, Thomas H. Norstein held a tablet as he analyzed the situation. "This Angewomon is different from the Digimon we've encountered before. She's extremely cunning. Judging by her claim to be a diplomat and her demand to see the prime minister, she knows a great deal about the human world."

The tablet played footage of Mo Si delivering her diplomatic statement.

Although she hadn't caused any damage so far, Thomas H. Norstein considered this situation even more dangerous.

This wasn't intuition, but a judgment based on real-world logic from a genius who had graduated from the Stockholm Royal Academy at fourteen.

Marcus Damon was also fourteen, but he lacked Thomas H. Norstein's intellect. All he knew was fighting, and all he loved was fighting. Sitting in the back seat, he craned his neck to look at the tablet. "This Angewomon seems pretty friendly. She's even treating everyone to food."

Watching the Digimon feast on-screen, Agumon drooled with envy and chimed in, "I agree with Boss. That looks really tasty."

Yoshino Fujieda rolled her eyes as she held the steering wheel. "She's not spending her own money."

As the only eighteen-year-old and the oldest of the three, she had already felt the pressure of financial concerns. If someone would reimburse her, she could be friendly and treat people to meals too.

Boom!

Suddenly, an explosion rang out from the tablet's feed.

Marcus Damon asked, "What happened?"

Thomas H. Norstein frowned. "The food street is under attack by a Digimon!"

Yoshino Fujieda tightened her grip on the wheel. "Hold on! I'm speeding up!"

While the three-person DATS team hurried over, a blonde girl in Gothic clothing stood on the roof of a skyscraper not far from the food street. Her name was Nanami.

Nanami was a genius.

As a genius, she could accomplish anything with ease, so she found everything around her boring. To seek excitement and amusement in her life, she had become a Digimon Hunter under Kurata.

"What a strange Digimon."

Watching what was happening on the food street, a hint of a smile appeared on Nanami's beautiful face.

She had become a Digimon Hunter to find amusement, and that strange Angewomon was sure to provide plenty of it!

At the thought, her heart raced with excitement.

She raised her left hand and flicked it, causing a mechanism at her wrist to eject a Digivice.

At the same time, a purple flame flared from her right hand. It was digisoul.

She fed the digisoul in her right hand into the Digivice held in her left and shouted in a low voice, "Bio-Hybrid Evolution!"

The purple digisoul spread from her hand across her entire body, gradually releasing a dazzling light. Within that radiance, the girl's body stretched and grew until she took the form of a giant white serpent.

The giant serpent had a red head, wings growing from either side, and a test-tube-like object embedded at the back of her head. The golden patterns on her body looked like something produced by an ancient civilization, and a flame-shaped metal spearhead tipped her tail.

Bio-Quetzalmon!

Bio-Quetzalmon beat her wings and soared high, white energy surging out to envelop her entire body. She streaked across the night sky like a meteor, but her path curved rather than running straight. The instant she reached her highest point, she plunged downward.

Her target was Mo Si on the food street!
