[Justimon: 5%]
Justimon was Electronic Dragonmon's Ultimate form. It had no draconic features whatsoever and looked like a person in a bodysuit, the very image of a hero who fought for justice.
This evolution path held little appeal for Mo Si.
It was neither strong nor sexy.
The only thing worth mentioning was Justimon's mechanical right arm, which could switch between power, electric shock, and cutting modes. It was also her only current possibility for a mechanical Ultimate.
Machinery!
The romance of industry!
Right, every Digimon had an inspiration, and Justimon's was... Showa Kamen Rider!
Even its finishing move, "Justice Flying Kick," was based on the Rider Kick, packing forty-five tons of force.
...What a weak finishing move.
It hardly seemed worthy of an Ultimate!
After all, even some ordinary beast-type Adults could probably manage forty-five tons of force.
But at that thought, Mo Si did find herself a little tempted.
If she ever ended up in a Kamen Rider world, using Justimon's soul would fit right in.
Mo Si collected herself and mused, "Because I already had the possibility of becoming Electronic Dragonmon, and now I've wiped out a bunch of scumbags, I've gained the possibility of evolving into Justimon."
Angewomon took that analysis further. "It seems that only eliminating world-class evil can increase the chance of evolving into Goldramon."
Eliminating evil below that level, such as gangs, petty thugs, or highway killers, would only increase the chance of evolving into Justimon.
Both were Heroes of Justice, but Goldramon and Justimon specialized in different areas. One focused on saving the world and only appeared for world-class crises; the other focused on fighting injustice, more like a street-level hero.
"The more evolution paths I have, the more complicated my data becomes. That isn't necessarily a good thing."
Looking at the possibility of evolving into Justimon, Mo Si grew a little worried once she calmed down.
As she pondered, she noticed the world-travel countdown beneath the evolution options.
"There isn't much time left."
Mo Si left the scene, released her Take Over Magic, and told her Digimon underlings, "I'm going out for a while. Wait here."
Before long, the countdown ended, and she vanished.
Where would this new world be?
The first time was unfamiliar, but the second came easier. On her third trip now, Mo Si was quite excited.
"...Why am I still in San Francisco?"
Although the surrounding buildings had changed somewhat, her memories of sightseeing here not long ago left Mo Si certain that she was still in San Francisco.
She had traveled to another world. That much was certain.
It seemed this new world wasn't a fantasy world like Fairy Tail, but the Earth of some other world.
She looked around and found few people on the street. Just as she considered finding someone to ask about the place, a green light suddenly appeared in the air before her.
"What is that?"
Mo Si tensed, bent her knees slightly, and leaped several meters backward.
The speck of green light rapidly expanded into a circular hole. A girl around ten years old dropped out of it, with an Asian face, black hair, an orange top, blue trousers, and a backpack on her back.
"Ow!" She fell flat.
At the same time, the hole formed by the green light vanished.
The little girl glanced back, rubbed her head, and stood up, muttering, "I'm here? That's so weird."
Something unexpected seemed to have happened.
Then she noticed Mo Si and her outfit, and exclaimed, "Whoa, cool!"
As Mo Si studied the girl's appearance, she immediately had the feeling that she had seen this girl before. It was just like meeting Mira and the other two two months ago; this had to be a character she knew.
So she gave her a friendly smile and asked, "My name is Mo Si. What's your name, little girl?"
Unlike Mira, the girl wasn't wary at all. Instead, she answered enthusiastically, "I'm Jade. Are you a wrestler, miss?"
Mo Si shook her head. "No. Why do you ask?"
Jade smiled. "Because you're wearing a mask, and those clothes. I know El Toro Fuerte... Oh, sorry, I'm going to be late. Bye!"
With that, she sprinted toward a building nearby that looked like a school.
"Jade, El Toro Fuerte?"
Realization dawned on Mo Si. So this was that world.
"Jackie Chan Adventures"!
The corners of Mo Si's mouth lifted, and she couldn't help smiling.
Sensing Mo Si's delight, Angewomon asked, "What's wrong? Why are you so happy?"
Seeing no one around, Mo Si explained quietly, "This world has treasures called the Twelve Talismans. Each contains a special kind of magic power, especially the Tiger Talisman, which represents the power of balance."
"The power of balance?" Angewomon grew thoughtful.
Mo Si said, "The Tiger Talisman can balance yin and yang, so it should be able to organize the power and data within our body. With yin and yang in balance, there would be no possibility of evolution failing."
Take Ultimate Evolution, for example.
The reason an evolution could result in Nothingness was that data collapse occurred during the process. A minor collapse would produce failures such as Sukamon or Scumon.
A complete data collapse meant being utterly shattered from the inside out, leaving nothing behind. That was Nothingness.
Conversely, as long as the data didn't collapse, evolution wouldn't fail, much less result in Nothingness.
And the Tiger Talisman's power of balance might be able to achieve exactly that!
Among Mo Si's current Ultimate Evolution possibilities, besides Nothingness, there were six Ultimates: Lovely Angemon, Goldramon, Ophanimon, Venusmon, Lilithmon, and Justimon.
If the Tiger Talisman's power of balance eliminated the possibility of Nothingness, that meant every single pull from then on would guarantee an Ultimate!
Mo Si continued, "The power of balance can also help us control the powers of light and darkness at the same time."
Mastering light and darkness simultaneously would mean opening up a new Ultimate Evolution path: Mastemon. Once she gained the ability to open a Dimensional Gate, she could use it to study [World Travel] in turn.
She treated her monthly world travel as a vacation to different worlds.
If she could steer a little on top of that and have more choices, that would be even better.
For instance, she could return to worlds she had visited before and reconnect with the bonds she had once formed.
Angewomon reminded her, "You can't carry outside objects with you when you travel between worlds."
Of course Mo Si remembered that.
It was like in Digimon Adventure 02: whenever the second-generation protagonists entered the Digital World, no matter what they had been wearing beforehand, their clothes would forcibly change into the outfits they had worn on their first visit.
Mo Si's world travel seemed to be locked by a similar principle.
She couldn't take anything beyond what belonged to Angewomon's appearance.
Mo Si said earnestly, "The wise seek power within. What we need is the magic power inside the Tiger Talisman."
She couldn't take objects, but she could take magic power.
Just as she had taken Dragon Slayer Magic Power from the Fairy Tail world.
Angewomon was speechless for a moment before retorting, "'The wise seek power within'-there's nothing wrong with that saying, and it's quite profound, but I don't think it's meant to be interpreted the way you do."
It was like her remarks that night about "morality, vulgarity, nakedness, and holiness." They did make sense, but Mo Si's interpretations always had the peculiar charm of reading The Analects as The Fist Analects.
"...Anyway, the Tiger Talisman is essential."
Getting all Twelve Talismans would certainly be ideal.
If that wasn't possible, then the Tiger Talisman had to be her first choice.
[World-travel countdown: 30 days]
Glancing at the world-travel countdown on her panel, Mo Si thought, Just as I expected. "Thirty days again. Time is a little tight."
