Fresh blood scattered through the void as Ye Mi was cleaved into two.
Yet even split in half, his body still wriggled, healing little by little.
"You dare kill me in Nine Ghost Academy?" Ye Mi forcibly suppressed the panic in his heart and asked.
"You dare to do it, so why wouldn't I?" Xu Zimo retorted.
He slowly raised Overlord Shadow, lifting the blade above his head.
"Dean, save me!" Ye Mi hurriedly shouted into the void.
"Young Master Xu, please stay your hand," Wu Daozi's voice rang out.
Immediately afterward, a giant hand tore open the firmament, and Wu Daozi's ethereal figure drifted over.
"When did Wu, the dean, develop the habit of peeping?" Xu Zimo asked with a smile.
"I only just arrived. Young Master Xu, do not misunderstand," Wu Daozi said, his expression stiffening briefly before he smiled.
"Oh? Is there something you need?" Xu Zimo asked.
"Ye Mi acted too impulsively. I will apologize to you on his behalf," Wu Daozi replied.
"But he cannot be killed."
"Why can't he be killed?" Xu Zimo countered.
"This is Nine Ghost Academy," Wu Daozi replied.
"Nine Ghost Academy may be impressive, but unfortunately, it cannot frighten me," Xu Zimo said with a smile.
"Young Master Xu, think carefully before answering," Wu Daozi said, his smile fading.
"You will give me this respect whether you want to or not."
As Wu Daozi spoke, he waved his right hand.
The entire academy seemed to ripple beneath a mysterious force, which surged ceaselessly into the void.
The heavens seemed to receive a summons. Wind and clouds gathered, and all things fell silent.
"Red, yellow, green, blue, black..." Colors of every kind intertwined, slowly soaring upward into the void.
All the colors melted together, as though forming a vivid watercolor painting.
