A hundred ships were moored along the shore. These vessels were enormous, nearly occupying half the sea.
Every ship looked imposing, each one stretching a hundred meters long.
"Board the ships!" Mr. Wen shouted.
Several hundred people boarded the vessels in perfect order.
Once everything was ready, Qin Haoshi stood atop the lead ship, raised both hands, and shouted, "Raise the sails! Set off!"
A rumbling sound rose.
Hundreds of ships started up at once, sailing out into the vast ocean.
The scenery over the sea was boundless. The sky reflected upon the water, while the foam-white surface seemed to boil.
It let out bubbling gurgles.
After setting off, the ships headed in four different directions.
The Six Scrolls each led a fleet in search.
Xu Zimo, Qin Haoshi, and Mr. Wen were aboard the same ship.
Once the ship had steadied, Mr. Wen sought out Xu Zimo.
Smiling, he asked, "Young Master, are you prepared?"
"I'm ready at any time," Xu Zimo replied.
As he spoke, Mr. Wen sat cross-legged on the ground beside him and asked, "Does your ancient lineage have anyone else?"
"No. Our line has always been passed down to a single heir," Xu Zimo replied.
"Only when the previous gatekeeper is on the verge of death does he seek out a new gatekeeper."
"I see. Then may I ask how old you are this year?" Mr. Wen continued.
"Three hundred years old already," Xu Zimo answered casually.
"If there is an opportunity, could I visit Ancient Mountain?" Mr. Wen asked with a smile.
"After asking so much, this must have been your true purpose all along, Mr. Wen," Xu Zimo said with a smile.
Mr. Wen merely smiled without answering.
The Six Scrolls had already reached the pinnacle of the secular world.
Originally, they had
