Background & History

Baimeng is an ancient demon and one of the Demon Lord's Eighteen Generals. Before becoming Xu Zimo's subordinate, fragmented memories identify him as the head of the Southeast General District of the Demon Slaying Legion; he and the Demon Lord were once mortal enemies before the Demon Lord spared him. 198 603

He later served the Demon Lord with fanatical devotion. Baimeng claims that neither he nor the other Demon Generals knew the Demon Lord's origins, only that their purpose was to follow him, uphold his ideals, and establish an eternal demon kingdom. 199

After the Demon Lord's defeat, Baimeng slept for one million years awaiting his return. He recognized Xu Zimo through his aura, bloodline, and Hell Suppressing Demon Body, which he states was originally the Demon Lord's Demon Body before the Heavenly Dao separated and refined it. 199

Unlike other Demon Generals, Baimeng could appear beside Xu Zimo before the latter obtained the Ancient Demon Cave inheritance. This exception stems from his role as a Sky Demon and a mission governed by Heavenly Dao rules; he initially could not disclose its details. 218 235

Appearance

Baimeng commonly manifests as an enormous, burly demon more than three meters tall. His deep-black body emits dense Demonic Qi, and his presence carries destructive pressure even when he kneels. 199

  • Blood-red, sinister eyes. 199
  • Tough ox horns growing from his head. 199
  • Pitch-black breath and Demonic Qi that often condense into clouds, faces, or weapons. 199 575
  • His True Fate resembles a colossal horned monster shrouded in black mist, with seven-fingered claws and a giant axe-like weapon. 334
  • After reaching Dao Fruit Realm, he is described in black robes with black hair, gaunt features, and eyes overflowing with Demonic Qi. 1731

Personality

Baimeng is fiercely loyal, deferential, and deeply reverent toward Xu Zimo, whom he consistently addresses as “Master.” He waited for his master's return for an immense span of time and accepts orders without hesitation, including commands to kill, guard, investigate, or withdraw. 199 1659

Despite this devotion, he is proud of his status and strength. He considers ordinary Great Emperors beneath him, dismisses opponents who lack the strength to challenge him, and openly identifies himself as a demon rather than a human. 235 333 1398

He is also pragmatic and strategically minded. Baimeng recognizes ancient seals and forbidden demonic techniques, advises Xu Zimo on threats to the Demon Race, manages the Divine Continent in Xu Zimo's absence, and devises battlefield solutions such as flooding Zhurong Ancient God's fiery domain with the North Sea. 383 602 989 1197

Abilities & Skills

Demonic Qi Manipulation

Baimeng commands exceptionally dense Demonic Qi, using it for direct offense, large-scale suppression, concealment, and battlefield control.

  • Broke an Emperor's Mark barrier with repeated Demonic Qi-infused punches. 224
  • Restrained and defeated a Profound Immortal Realm guardian while Xu Zimo entered the mountain containing Mysterious Yellow Qi. 224
  • Can seal, command, and imprint beings with Demonic Qi; the demon puppets of Primordial Ancient City obeyed his commands, while Ye Lingtian's True Fate received his Demonic Seal. 208
  • His Sky-Covering Great Palm crushed four powerful cultivators outright and overwhelmed the attacks of eight opponents. 1659

Despair Scythe and Despair Demonic Qi

Baimeng can condense his Despair Demonic Qi into a massive scythe, wielding it as a high-level execution weapon.

  • Cut apart He Feiyang's Apocalypse Storm with a single swing. 1398
  • Uses the scythe in conjunction with the spreading Despair Demon Realm, which blankets vast areas in demonic clouds and darkness. 1408
  • His Despair Law later became one of the two core Rules fused into his Dao Fruit. 1730 1731

Death and Despair Dao Fruit

Baimeng's Dao Fruit uniquely combines the Rules of Despair and Death into the form of a colossal demonic figure. 1731

  • His cultivation was delayed because his Dao Fruit required the special fusion of these two Rules. 1730
  • Upon completing the fusion, he bypassed a half-step stage and directly entered the Primordial Spirit Realm. 1731
  • His Dao Fruit pressure was sufficient to suppress the Ancient Remnant Tribe's Small World. 1843

True Fate and Demon Manifestations

Baimeng's True Fate is a colossal horned demon capable of exerting overwhelming force over a wide area. 334

  • Manifested his True Fate against the Hellish Tainted Qi, contesting it for control of the sky over Jie Mie Ridge. 333 334
  • Used Three Thousand Demon Kill, splitting his Divine Soul into three thousand demonic consciousness bodies that struck Zhurong Ancient God's Consciousness Body like meteors. 1197
  • Used Demon Refining Shakya Hell to pour sustained Demonic Qi into the lotus seal restraining the Consciousness Body. 1197

Spatial and World-Scale Feats

Baimeng is capable of manipulating space and exerting force across separate realms.

  • Opens and traverses spatial gates with Xu Zimo. 228 1195
  • Opened the tenth Meridian Gate directly to the Other Shore despite the ensuing Heavenly Dao punishment. 363 364
  • Split his Divine Soul and physical body to simultaneously force open the Great Gate and fight Zhurong Ancient God's Consciousness Body. 1197
  • Drew the entire North Sea toward the fiery world behind the Great Gate to extinguish its flames. 1197
  • Sealed the immortal Hellish Tainted Qi inside Xu Zimo's True Fate World rather than attempting to destroy it permanently. 334

Knowledge of Demon History and Forbidden Arts

Baimeng possesses extensive knowledge of Demon Race history, ancient epochs, seals, and demonic cultivation methods.

  • Identified the Zhouze Epoch seal on the Demon Lord's battle armor and named the Sky Shadow Stone needed to open it. 383
  • Explained that the forbidden Demonic Art lets its practitioner absorb the cultivation results of others rather than cultivate normally. 602
  • Recognized Mo Thirteen as a member of the Samadhi Demon Race and identified the clan's Samadhi Fire, Wind, and Water arts. 603
  • Identified the Darkness Master as one of the Demon Race's Seven Great Protectors. 1948

Limitations

  • The Yuanyang Continent's world rules initially suppressed Baimeng's cultivation, preventing him from freely using power beyond the Great Emperor limit. 199 235
  • Forcibly opening his tenth Meridian Gate provoked Heavenly Dao punishment and left his aura unstable, with blood visible on his robes afterward. 364
  • In realms where Dao rhythm or laws are suppressed, including the Land of Exile and Zhurong Ancient God's fiery world, his higher-level power is restricted. 363 1197
  • He could not permanently destroy the Hellish Tainted Qi because it was connected to the world itself; sealing it was the viable solution. 333 334

  • Xu Zimo — Master and reincarnated Demon Lord. Baimeng waited one million years for his return, serves him without question, and helps safeguard and manage the Divine Continent. 199 989
