Chapter 52: Ancient Nether Race
Feng Bing grabbed the man's right hand and tugged his sleeve up.
A pattern was tattooed on the man's arm: the head of an exceedingly ugly monster, with brown skin and a particularly ferocious visage.
"Ancient Nether Race." Feng Bing gritted his teeth at the sight of the pattern.
"What is the Ancient Nether Race?" Everyone present was thoroughly confused.
"What are you here for?" Feng Bing seized the man by the collar, his expression ugly as he demanded emotionally.
The man revealed a mocking smile and let out a strange cry from his mouth, like a birdcall.
"He's sending a warning!" Feng Bing's face changed in alarm, and he hastily struck the man dead with a palm.
"It's already too late. His companions should know something unusual has happened," Wu Sanlang said with a frown.
"We were only investigating the Thirteen Bandits of Lianyun. How did this get tangled up with the Ancient Nether Race?" Feng Bing said with a headache.
"Ten Household Commander, what exactly is the Ancient Nether Race?" Tong Guan voiced the question in everyone's hearts.
"A race that should never have appeared in this world," Feng Bing said. "To be honest, I only know a little myself. I can't explain it clearly to you right now."
"Then should we keep investigating?" Wu Sanlang asked.
"Investigate. Why wouldn't we? Let's go take a look at the mountaintop," Feng Bing said firmly.
"But that would be meaningless now. They know someone has come. Either they left long ago, or they've set a trap and are waiting for us," Wu Sanlang said, puzzled. "With the situation unclear, I think we should report to the military camp first."
"It's fine. I have a plan," Feng Bing said, then took the lead toward the mountaintop.
