At the same moment, a great burst of golden light suddenly erupted outside Shiganshina District. As the dust settled a second later, everyone was shocked to discover that a mass of Titans had appeared beyond the previously empty walls, with the Beast Titan standing at their center.
"It really was an ambush!" Arthur's expression shifted slightly.
"Roar!" The Beast Titan let out a furious roar, and the three-to-five-meter Titans among the motionless horde charged toward the wall.
It seemed Reiner and the others had put considerable thought into preparing this welcoming party.
"Another new intelligent Titan?" Arthur then noticed one beside the Beast Titan, carrying a cargo compartment on his back.
He had not been among those who had transformed into Titans just now, yet he had suddenly appeared.
Clearly, this fellow must have been the first to notice their arrival and had warned Reiner and the others to be careful.
That was also why Reiner's group had managed to hide in time when everyone arrived.
The Beast Titan suddenly picked up a boulder at his feet, assumed a throwing stance, and hurled it an enormous distance with great precision. The boulder was aimed at the opening in the inner gate.
