"Take your pants off. Now."
A tiny body, platinum-blond hair, and a cool, aloof face, yet she was saying something so shocking and outrageous that it made his heart race.
Zero had locked the infirmary door from the inside. No one outside could get in, and no one inside could get out. Lu Mingfei clutched his waistband with both hands, struggling against Zero. "Don't do this. I'm fine."
The dress pants Zero had custom-made for Lu Mingfei were scorched black, with a hole near the kneecap. The melted fibers around its edges had hardened into lumps that clung tightly to his flesh.
"Your knee is burned. It'll be hard to treat if you don't take your pants off," Zero said. "There's no one else here."
The academy's medical resources were stretched very thin that day. Quite a few students had suffered severe burns, and Lu Mingfei's were actually fairly minor.
Even so, everyone had found a way to free up a private infirmary room for this S-Rank, so that Lu Mingfei, who had destroyed the Bronze and Fire King in a single blow, could enjoy some private time alone with Zero.
But it wasn't all that private, really. Lu Mingfei could faintly hear groaning from the room next door. It was an ordinary ward, after all, and the soundproofing didn't seem particularly good.
"Take them off!" Zero tried to pry Lu Mingfei's hands away.
"Keep your voice down!" Lu Mingfei felt that the room next door had suddenly gone quiet. He would rather the guy over there had died than have him pressing his ear against the wall.
"No one can get in or see anything. What are you embarrassed about?" Zero frowned slightly and finally let go, putting her hands on her hips and looking up at Lu Mingfei.
