Chapter Summaries

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon attended the Rite of Descension, where Rex Lapis suddenly fell from the sky and Ningguang declared that he had been murdered. As the Millelith sealed the venue and began questioning spectators, Li Qiuzhi persuaded Lumine not to flee, and soldiers approached their group.

• Li Qiuzhi helped Lumine reach the front of the crowd, where they watched Ningguang begin the Rite of Descension.
• A huge golden pillar appeared, and Rex Lapis's body crashed into the venue, smashing the incense burner and stone table.
• Ningguang announced that Rex Lapis had been murdered and ordered the Millelith to seal off the venue.
• Lumine tried to escape, but Li Qiuzhi stopped her and Paimon agreed they should stay and answer questions.
• Paimon confronted Li Qiuzhi about holding Lumine's hand and his relationship with Fischl as the Millelith approached to question them.

After Rex Lapis’s apparent murder, Li Qiuzhi and his companions were cleared of suspicion and met Tartaglia, who gave them a Sigil of Permission to help them find the adepti. They spent two days completing commissions and resting in Mondstadt, then set out to inspect Old Zhang’s finished Bicycle prototype.

• The Millelith questioned Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon, confirmed their identities with Ningguang, and later lifted the lockdown after failing to find the killer.
• Tartaglia introduced himself as the Fatui Harbinger Childe and suggested the Liyue Qixing might have been involved in Rex Lapis’s murder.
• Tartaglia gave Li Qiuzhi a Sigil of Permission and told the group it would help them meet the adepti.
• Li Qiuzhi and Lumine continued completing Adventurers’ Guild commissions, returned to Mondstadt each night, and reunited with Fischl and Oz.
• After two days of commissions and rest, Li Qiuzhi and his companions went to see the Bicycle prototype Old Zhang had promised to finish.

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon tested the bicycle Master Zhang had forged and rode it through Liyue Harbor to seek Ningguang about selling it. Hu Tao stopped them to ask for a bicycle and insisted on joining their business meeting.

• Master Zhang completed the bicycle, and Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon tested it before paying him 150,000 Mora.
• Li Qiuzhi suggested approaching Ningguang about selling bicycles, and the group set out to contact her through the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
• Li Qiuzhi rode the bicycle through Liyue Harbor with Lumine on the rear rack and Paimon in the front basket.

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon met Hu Tao, who borrowed their bicycle and helped them reach Ningguang through an introduction from Keqing. The group entered the Jade Chamber, where Li Qiuzhi prepared to explain Childe’s request and the Fatui’s theft of the Anemo Archon’s Gnosis.

• Hu Tao persuaded Li Qiuzhi to lend her the bicycle, then led him, Lumine, and Paimon toward the Ministry of Civil Affairs to find Ningguang.
• Keqing left the Ministry troubled by the mystery surrounding Rex Lapis’s assassination and stopped Hu Tao after her reckless bicycle ride caused a commotion.
• Hu Tao asked Keqing to introduce the group to Ningguang, and Li Qiuzhi said they had information about a possible threat to Liyue.
• Keqing brought Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, Paimon, and Hu Tao to the Jade Chamber, where they met Ningguang.

Li Qiuzhi warned Ningguang and Keqing that the Fatui might be behind Rex Lapis's death, then sold Ningguang the bicycle blueprints. He traveled with Lumine, Paimon, Xingqiu, and Chongyun toward Mt. Aocang, where defeating Hilichurls brought him to level 50 and unlocked a new Racial Specialty choice.

• Li Qiuzhi recounted the Fatui's crimes in Mondstadt, and Ningguang and Keqing agreed to investigate the possibility that the Fatui had killed Rex Lapis.
• Li Qiuzhi and Lumine gave Ningguang the bicycle blueprints for testing and a future price offer, while Keqing left to investigate the Fatui.

The rescued team told them about a nearby cave that might contain a Pyro treasure, and Li Qiuzhi and his companions flew there to investigate.

• Li Qiuzhi chose Harmonization as his racial specialty, gaining universal energy that could be shared with others and absorbed to increase strength.
• Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, Paimon, Xingqiu, and Chongyun stopped to cook and eat before continuing uphill.

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, Paimon, and Xingqiu explored a hot cave while Chongyun stayed outside because of his Pure Yang Constitution. They defeated a swarm of Flame-Eating Bats and collected their bodies, leaving Li Qiuzhi with 23,675 Experience Points as the remaining bats fled deeper into the cave.

• Chongyun found the cave’s heat unbearable, so Xingqiu explained his Pure Yang Constitution and Chongyun agreed to guard the entrance.
• Li Qiuzhi exposed a disguised Whopperflower with an arrow, but it burrowed away deeper into the cave.
• The group encountered a swarm of Flame-Eating Bats, and Xingqiu protected them with a curtain of water that kept the bats at bay.
• Li Qiuzhi shot down dozens of the water-fearing bats for Experience Points, while the survivors fled farther into the cave.
• Xingqiu explained that the bat corpses contained medicinal fire poison, so the group collected them, bringing Li Qiuzhi’s Experience Points to 23,675.

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, Xingqiu, and Paimon discovered a Pyro Regisvine in a scorching underground chamber and planned to fight it with Chongyun’s help. While Lumine and Paimon went to find Chongyun, Li Qiuzhi defeated a swarm of Flame-Eating Bats, then returned to meet them.

• Li Qiuzhi and the others found a Level 65 Pyro Regisvine and agreed they could challenge it together.
• Lumine proposed having Chongyun attack the Pyro Regisvine from above, and she left with Paimon to find him.
• Li Qiuzhi and Xingqiu searched the chamber for the escaped Whopperflower and Flame-Eating Bats without disturbing the Regisvine.

• Li Qiuzhi upgraded Dandelion Shield and drew the Pyro Regisvine's attention while Xingqiu and Lumine attacked its exposed root core and Chongyun struck from above.

Li Qiuzhi and his companions defeated two Juvenile Geovishaps, opened a Blossom of Wealth, and buried the Mora they could not carry. After several days of travel, they reached Mt. Aocang and began climbing in search of the adepti and the Inner Vision technique.

• Li Qiuzhi used his archery to defeat two Juvenile Geovishaps, then collected part of one for Sucrose.
• Xingqiu used Condensed Resin to open the Blossom of Wealth, but the group buried its Mora because they could not carry the heavy pile.
• Li Qiuzhi and the others followed a river through Nantianmen for several days, fighting weak monsters along the way.
• The group reached the foot of Mt. Aocang and found a traveled path up the steep mountain.
• After climbing for half a day, Li Qiuzhi and his companions reached an open area near a ceremonial archway and a flight of stone steps leading toward the summit.

Li Qiuzhi and his companions climbed Mt. Aocang, where a black Wild Forest Boar burst from sealing amber and injured him. Shenhe appeared, freezing the boar with a Talisman Spirit and revealing herself to the group.

• Li Qiuzhi persuaded Paimon to stop calling him a womanizing carrot by promising to treat her to food, then held Lumine's hand as they continued climbing.
• The group found orange-red sealing amber, and Xingqiu explained that breaking it could free someone sealed inside without angering an adeptus.
• Li Qiuzhi and Chongyun struck the amber, which shattered and released a black Wild Forest Boar that rammed Li Qiuzhi into the mountainside.

After learning that only Chongyun had the talent to practice them, Li Qiuzhi secured a basic mind-training method from Shenhe, and Cloud Retainer reacted with disbelief to the letter announcing Rex Lapis’s death.

• Shenhe recognized Chongyun as her distant relative and agreed to take Li Qiuzhi and the others to meet her master about learning Adepti Arts.
• Cloud Retainer appeared in crane form and explained that Paimon, Lumine, and Li Qiuzhi lacked cultivation talent, while Xingqiu excelled at martial arts and Chongyun could practice yang-affinity Adepti Arts.
• Li Qiuzhi asked about strengthening Psychic Power without cultivation talent, and Cloud Retainer told him Shenhe could teach him a mind-training method.

Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Shenhe returned to Liyue Harbor with the adepti’s request to see Rex Lapis’s body. They reached the Jade Chamber at night and found Ningguang waiting in her office, where she praised them for completing her task.

• Cloud Retainer sent Shenhe with Li Qiuzhi and Lumine to tell the Qixing that the adepti wanted to see Rex Lapis’s body, while Xingqiu and Chongyun stayed behind to cultivate.
• Cloud Retainer gave Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, Paimon, and Shenhe an adeptal art that let them fly quickly back toward Liyue Harbor.
• Shenhe accepted Lumine’s offer to help her find a place to stay, and she explained that the adeptal art for creating a realm was called Outer Scene.

After reuniting with Fischl and discovering Harmonization could help her grow stronger, he learned that the wind barrier around Stormterror's Lair had opened, and Fischl planned to investigate it.

• Li Qiuzhi chose Form Concealment: Secret Art Lv. 10, gaining the ability to conceal everything within a three-meter radius for up to five hours.
• Li Qiuzhi, Lumine, and Paimon tested the Invisibility Domain by crossing the Wooden Arch Bridge unnoticed and teleporting to Mondstadt before gliding home.
• Li Qiuzhi reunited with Fischl, and Harmonization helped raise her to level 39 before they spent the night together.
