Kiga watched from the sidelines without saying a word, even picking up a cookie from the table and popping it into her mouth.
Asa Mitaka, on the other hand, felt even more awkward. The blush on her face practically spelled out "embarrassed," and her posture was noticeably stiff.
Her feelings at that moment were more complicated than she could say.
"Ahem..."
At that point, Asaba Kotone spoke up. "Stop fooling around. It's time to get down to business."
Death did indeed stop fooling around and let go of Asaba Kotone's arm, because she was already satisfied.
"When will the people who lost their lives come back?"
Asaba Kotone got down to business.
So many people had died around the world that day, and the impact was enormous.
No one outside their little gathering knew the truth-that those "dead" people had not truly died.
Asaba Kotone wanted those "dead" people to return to the Human World as soon as possible, to avoid a whole host of unnecessary trouble afterward.
That would also make it easier for him to spread the word worldwide, letting everyone know the benefits and drawbacks of becoming what the Death Devil called "new humans," then leaving them to make their own choices.
"Don't worry. They'll start coming back soon."
The Death Devil answered.
"I hope so. Then what are you planning to do over the next month?"
Asaba Kotone asked.
"Nothing. If I had to name something, I'm planning to have a bit of fun in the Human World."
The Death Devil leaned back lazily on the sofa, her underwear partially visible, without the slightest caution in her posture.
Of course, Asaba Kotone did not deliberately look, much less entertain any improper thoughts.
He would have to be crazy to dare get involved with this dangerous "woman."
