The new book is already up on that certain Tomato site, under the pen name "Literary Girl."
Writing on a site like that is pretty much a labor of love, but don't worry. I have other books doing reasonably well to fall back on, so I can afford to write for love. I won't abandon either book: this old one will be finished, and so will the new one.
Some readers probably know that I also started a Chainsaw Man fanfic on that certain Pigeon Nest site a month or two ago, but its performance fell short of expectations. Reader retention was decent, but it couldn't attract enough new readers, and the cheat ability was awkward to write with. I didn't have another book to fall back on then, either, so the pressure of supporting my family forced me to drop it.
To make the writing flow more easily, the new book still uses "Dual Kamui" as its cheat ability. I've improved the setup a little: it's no longer an affection-based Catalogue, and the focus is on hunting Devils. I'm also making the plot as different from the old book as possible, and I've even made Denji a girl.
Readers interested in the new book can go take a look. The whole thing is free to read on that site anyway. If you're not interested, just ignore this standalone announcement.
Oh, and the new book will also draw on the lessons I learned from this old one to make improvements. For example, I'll try to keep the harem aspect moderate, keep the plot tight without padding, and switch to an anime crossover once I've written most of what I want to write about Chainsaw Man. That should prevent another situation where "writing it is miserable for me, and reading it
