Eina continued earnestly trying to persuade Roland, but he simply finished filling out the form quickly and handed it over with a smile.
"Mr. Roland, please reconsider. Even if you're very strong yourself, you can't guarantee you'll be able to take care of the child behind you..."
"Aestus Estus doesn't need to become an adventurer. She's my sword."
Where did this boy come from? Was he playing hero?
Eina frowned. She had quite a favorable impression of Roland, who looked as though he had brought his little sister out to make his way in the world alone, and she unconsciously worried a little more about him.
Having worked at the Guild for several years, she knew that although the prosperity of the gods and their familias had made the Dungeon less demonized, it absolutely could not be underestimated.
Over the past few years, she had witnessed plenty of partings in life and death. Even powerful familias could not guarantee that they would suffer no casualties, much less the smaller ones. Every year, young people carrying dreams died in this labyrinth city.
She could not save all those people from their fates, but at least for those things happening before her eyes, she wanted to change what she could.
The regulations prevented her from stopping Roland from entering the Dungeon, but that did not mean she could not offer him other help.
"I understand, Mr. Roland, but before you go to the Dungeon, please let me introduce you to a few familias. I know some reliable friends in them, and I can promise you that those gods certainly won't treat you as merchandise."
Following the kindness in her heart, Eina prepared to call on her personal connections. To avoid putting Roland off, she even stood up and bowed deeply to him.
