Yet dawn had still not fully arrived.
Beneath the sunlight, monsters born from the dead wandered everywhere in the ancient city.
They followed the faintest traces of life, roaming the surrounding streets, visible everywhere. Occasionally, zombies transformed from Adventurers, whose physical abilities far surpassed ordinary people's, could be seen leaping between rooftops.
Compared with ordinary zombies, whose numbers could be controlled, these High-level Adventurers were the survivors' true nightmare.
After all, fearless zombies had no need to care about their own injuries. Landing an attack was all they needed to win, which often allowed these Adventurer zombies to fight above their level, making them extremely troublesome.
At that moment, however, a zombie far faster and stronger than the others, still wearing his Elephant God Mask and renowned throughout Orario in life, lay beneath someone's foot.
He was still struggling desperately, trying to raise his arm and attack the human pinning his spine down. The sharp virus crystals on his fingertips gleamed chillingly in the light.
But his only fate was to become material for a hero's inspiring display.
"Keep moving! With High-level Adventurers at your core, these things, whose strongest are only Lv. 4, cannot possibly match us. As long as your own formation holds, the High-level Adventurers will handle these difficulties for you."
Roland shouted.
Receiving his orders was a force composed of lower-tier Adventurers. They held standard-issue spears, clustering around first-tier Adventurers in varied equipment.
