The hall seemed to boil over. Having witnessed such a spectacular and cruel scene, most of the gods cried out in amazement.
Freya stared fixedly at Roland. In her eyes, the surging malice upon his soul had grown deeper and more dazzling. She instinctively clutched her chest, recalling the instant their eyes had met when Roland surveyed his surroundings.
