It began slowly spreading outward, and the rampaging energy was gradually suppressed. At the center of the nebula, Yin-Yang Qi showed faint signs of encroaching upon and merging with each other.
Chasing and entwining with each other, they formed a flowing Taiji Dao Diagram at Shi Qingyun's dantian.
The Taiji Dao Diagram emitted an attractive force that tugged at the energy inside Shi Qingyun. A moment later, that pull passed through his body and spread into the outside world.
Shi Qingyun's body instantly became the center of a vortex, frantically absorbing the vital essence outside.
Its absorption speed seemed slightly faster than when Shi Qingyun absorbed it himself.
Shi Qingyun did not interrupt the process.
Earlier, he had sensed that his constitution would undergo a transformation. He had thought it was already over, only to discover that it had just begun!
No wonder he had kept feeling that the energy he absorbed failed to produce the growth he expected.
So this was the reason. The energy from before must have gone toward nourishing the Yin-Yang Qi within his body.
It was only because that energy had been insufficient that the true transformation had not begun.
Once he understood, Shi Qingyun also helped the Yin-Yang Qi absorb that energy.
Under Shi Qingyun's deliberate guidance, the absorption grew a little faster still.
Moreover, Yin-Yang Qi, with the nebula as its center and his meridians as rivers, slowly flowed throughout his body.
The gray mist outside, kept at bay by the vitality, also began churning as though it had received some summons.
It showed faint signs of rushing toward Shi Qingyun. Naturally, he noticed this too and hesitated, but he gritted his teeth and slowly expanded the vortex to encompass the gray mist.
Yin-Yang opposed yet depended upon each other and could transform into one another. They were the root of all changes in the universe. Only a balance between them matched Shi Qingyun's understanding of Yin-Yang.
Although pursuing an extreme path could also lead to the summit, for now, he would follow his own heart.
Shi Qingyun had already absorbed a great deal of life energy. Though nothing was yet apparent inside his body, given time, Yin-Yang would inevitably fall out of balance.
Thus, Shi Qingyun intended to absorb the death energy as well, achieving a balance between Yin-Yang.
Thank you, dear readers, for your votes. Thank you very much.
Chapter 30: Yin-Yang Dao Body
Shi Qingyun raised a hand. As though understanding his intent, strands of gray mist entwined with one another, forming a black river that surged toward his body.
Wherever the black river passed, it left trails of corrosion, and faint hissing sounds even came from the air.
But when the black river reached Shi Qingyun, it became utterly docile, like a pet that had sheathed its fangs.
It churned ceaselessly around him, already impatient to enter Shi Qingyun's body and become one with him.
Ignoring the black river rolling endlessly before him, Shi Qingyun raised his hand again. The vital essence beneath him surged into his body as though unwilling to fall behind.
As the red river of life poured in, the black river carrying death energy followed close behind.
One black and one red, the two ribbonlike streams of Life-and-Death Qi encircled Shi Qingyun. These two utterly opposing rivers of energy now seemed so harmonious and fitting.
Yet when those two different, conflicting energies surged into his body, Shi Qingyun felt as though blades were slicing and axes were hacking at him again and again.
Relentless waves of pain assailed him, making him scream in agony. Yet no matter how harrowing his cries became, the influx of life and death energies did not slow.
Instead, as Shi Qingyun howled, the rate at which those energies poured into him seemed to increase slightly.
This concerned Shi Qingyun's strength and destiny; he would never give up. He could only try to shorten the ordeal, even if doing so might intensify the pain.
But he could no longer think that far ahead. He could only withdraw his senses as much as possible and focus his mind on the changes within his body to distract himself.
Outside Shi Qingyun's body, the multicolored Luminous Cocoon surrounding him slowly turned black and white, while a few inches above it,
a Taiji Dao Diagram hovered over it, flickering with a mysterious light. The Yin-Yang Qi around Shi Qingyun gradually grew denser.
Two different, mutually repellent energies converged inside Shi Qingyun. Every time they collided, the chaos energy they produced ravaged his blood vessels and meridians.
Moreover, that chaos energy seemed to penetrate the body Shi Qingyun took such pride in with ease, reaching his soul.
Shi Qingyun felt as though lightning had struck him. In that instant, he seemed to lose control of his body once more. His mind felt as though a giant hammer had smashed into it, leaving him dazed.
Now he clearly felt the agony coming from within his body. Caught between pain inside and out, Shi Qingyun felt his consciousness on the verge of scattering.
Although he had already experienced pain when he first came to this blood pool, what Shi Qingyun suffered now made all that earlier agony seem mild.
Experiencing it anew, Shi Qingyun had believed himself prepared, but the pain coursing through his body told him he had been too hasty.
Shi Qingyun had some understanding of bodily pain, but the agony in his soul brought suffering unlike anything he had ever known.
Chaos energy continuously arose from the collisions between Life-and-Death Qi. Although it was only a tiny, insignificant trace, it was more than the current Shi Qingyun could endure.
At that moment, Shi Qingyun felt as though he was in the clouds one instant and at the bottom of a valley the next. Each rise and fall intensified his suffering.
Fortunately, the transformation within Shi Qingyun was nearly complete. As he gradually grew accustomed to it, he also became better able to control the influx of energy.
It no longer surged in all at once as it had at the beginning, leaving Shi Qingyun struggling to adjust.
By now, the Yin-Yang Qi had nearly spread throughout Shi Qingyun's entire body. With his dantian as its source, it formed an interwoven web as dense as a sky full of stars
formed within him, with his dantian as its source and his limbs as its main branches, reaching every part of his body. Shi Qingyun did not know what changes this would bring.
But a vague premonition told him that this was no bad thing for him. Perhaps it would help him at some point in the future.
Ever since coming to this world, Shi Qingyun had placed considerable trust in those so-called instincts and premonitions.
Time passed. Shi Qingyun carefully sensed the changes in his body, while the gray mist around him and the blood pool below grew much dimmer.
All of Shi Qingyun's bones had been permeated by Yin-Yang Qi. Moreover, the runes that had previously grown upon his bones were forced by that Qi to change the course of their evolution.
They began evolving toward Yin-Yang. Shi Qingyun did not know whether this was good or bad; after all, he did not know what the Bone Text that had previously emerged would have become.
Nor did Shi Qingyun know what this ancient Bone Text, altered by the Yin-Yang Qi, would become.
He stopped dwelling on what he could not understand. Besides, thinking about such things was of no use.
Since he had already made his choice, there was no need to agonize over it again.
Just then, the chains coiled around Shi Qingyun's body blocked the spread of the rivers within him. He had already anticipated this.
He guided the Yin-Yang Qi to strike those chains. Metallic clangs rang out from within Shi Qingyun, and the shock waves from their collisions shook his blood and qi.
Shi Qingyun abruptly spat out a mouthful of blood, but he ignored it, concentrating entirely on battering those Dao Derivation Chains one by one.
Metallic clashes rang out again and again, yet the Dao chains remained as firm as ever. Instead, Shi Qingyun's blood and qi were shaken into a seething frenzy.
Shi Qingyun's eyes were tightly shut as streams of Yin-Yang True Meaning emerged. Bolstered by that true intent, the Yin-Yang Qi broke through a chain in a single rush.
Seizing the momentum, Shi Qingyun guided the Yin-Yang Qi toward all the chains. The remaining chains held out only briefly before crumbling apart.
After shattering, the chains formed from the rules of order slowly merged into Shi Qingyun's body. He felt only a trace of completeness emanating from within.
"A single swing of one arm carries 129,600 jin of strength. Does that secretly correspond to the number of a primordial cycle?"
By now, the energy outside had also been exhausted, leaving only a large, dried-up pool.
Shi Qingyun's constitution had completed its transformation as well. His eyes opened. His left eye was pitch-black, like a bottomless abyss; his right was blazing white, as though it could illuminate the darkness in human hearts.
The Taiji Dao Diagram drifted down behind Shi Qingyun, making him look like a deity.
"Does this count as a Yin-Yang Dao Body of my own creation? With a strand of true intent as its foundation, I developed a Dao body. Surely I'm the only one throughout all history to have achieved this!"

Chapter 31: Breaking into the Cave Heaven Realm
The Taiji Dao Diagram slowly rotated behind Shi Qingyun, absorbing the strands of Yin-Yang Laws that permeated his surroundings.
The swimming fish chasing each other upon it seemed on the verge of leaping out of the Dao Diagram.
After absorbing the law fragments drawn forth by Shi Qingyun, the already somewhat sacred Dao Diagram grew even richer with the aura of the Dao.
Once it finished absorbing those law fragments, the Dao Diagram slowly shrank in midair and floated before Shi Qingyun. It approached his forehead and slowly merged into his mind.
It left only a Taiji Dao Imprints on his forehead. With a thought from Shi Qingyun, that imprint vanished a moment later.
As the Dao Diagram was about to enter his mind completely, streams of clear radiance emanated from it and merged into Shi Qingyun's body and soul.
"Does this count as heaven and earth celebrating the emergence of the Yin-Yang Dao Body?"
Shi Qingyun did not know what was happening. Unable to explain it, he could only attribute it to a gift from heaven and earth.
This was not merely a self-glorifying fantasy, either. He had created this constitution out of nothing-what was wrong with receiving a little gift from heaven and earth?
Shi Qingyun thought this with some pride, and a smile slowly lifted the corners of his mouth.
After amusing himself like this, Shi Qingyun's somewhat taut nerves relaxed a little.
Then he stopped thinking about these matters. Now that he had relaxed for a moment, something more important awaited him.
Sitting cross-legged in midair, Shi Qingyun did not rise. He let the Yin-Yang Qi around his body wash through his surroundings. Nourished by the Yin-Yang Qi, the surrounding landscape seemed to gain a faint touch of green.
Shi Qingyun focused his mind entirely upon his own body, as though examining a precious physique formed by nature itself.
"I've already comprehended Blood Moving True Intent and broken past the ultimate limit of the Blood Moving Realm. There's no reason to remain in it any longer. It's time to enter the Cave Heaven Realm."
As he thought this, Shi Qingyun slowly closed his eyes, carefully sensing the rich essence drifting between heaven and earth.
The various details of the Cave Heaven Realm slowly surfaced in his mind. It was the second realm on the path of cultivation. Cultivators could draw upon the boundless essence of the greater world through the cave heavens they opened.
By comprehending the true intent of Dao patterns and experiencing the world's order and the changes in its rules, they could evolve a small world within the cave heavens they opened.
This was a cave heaven, an immortal passage through which cultivators communicated with heaven and earth. Its importance to cultivation went without saying.
Shi Qingyun unleashed his mind with all his strength, striving to capture the Dao that existed in all things and everywhere.
"All things have their Dao. Follow it to endure; defy it to transcend the ordinary."
A glimmer of understanding settled in his heart, sweeping away entrenched notions. His conduct and nature changed, and from them, the Dao arose.
A moment later, the essence drifting between heaven and earth gathered around Shi Qingyun as though summoned, eagerly burrowing into his body through his pores.
The Divine Radiance in Shi Qingyun's blood slowly seeped out through his skin. His blood flowed in bubbling streams, and the Yin-Yang Qi mingled with his blood and qi, surging through his body.
