Edward looked at him with some surprise, then seemed to think of something and offered a half-sincere compliment:
"Admirable courage."
"Of all the people I've killed, you're the first who still dared to talk to me."
...Not the right moment. Klein suppressed the urge to make a snarky remark.
Then Edward looked at Medici, who seemed about to say something else, and teased him with a smile. "I told him you could resurrect, but he didn't believe me. He'd never truly witnessed the power of a Sefirah and didn't believe you could draw on future authority to use in the present. Now he's seen it."
Medici was listening in on the intelligence the members of Red of War were transmitting through their Mind Link and ignored the Devil's teasing.
"Don't listen to his bullshit."
Keeping a safe social distance of more than five meters from the Devil, the War Angel told Klein irritably:
"Just say a few things to get him off your back, then come back to Trier with me. The intelligence bureau and Red of War need talent like you right now."
After the death of the Demoness Sect's operative, the Vice Admiral of Ailment, tracking their movements from the sea had become much harder, though there were still some leads to follow-for instance, the White Saintess Katarina, whom Medici had met, was worth looking for.
Red of War did possess a considerable number of Sealed Artifacts from the Demoness pathway. However, because Cheek had originally been male and now had an extremely twisted personality, even women who had accidentally become Hunters and felt little sense of belonging were unwilling to balance Red of War's lopsided gender and functional composition.
