Seeing Medici look at him with an expression that said, "I'd have to be an idiot to believe you," Richard sighed, regretting only that he lacked credibility. He simply turned toward his teacher instead.
"How come you have time to visit again?"
Edward looked at Richard, then at Medici, and smiled knowingly, casually stirring up trouble. "Weren't you the one who told me they were coming?"
"You're teasing me again. Your foresight is far better than mine." Richard readily ignored that remark, then began looking around. "Well, since you're here, would you like to help with His Highness the Red Angel's order? Oh, naturally, I won't be paying you for your work."
"Even if you paid me, the answer would still be no. I doubt Medici would trust a vessel I'd adjusted, either." Edward ignored Richard's nonsense about wanting something for nothing again. "I haven't seen Klein for an hour now. Whenever I think of that brat possibly running around this world carrying the fate of the Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth for Blessings, I feel uneasy... Still, I didn't expect Amon to actually manage to steal only Sefirah Castle."
"You're saying things I don't understand again."
"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave. I still have plenty of work to do. Shall we go, Your Highness the Red Angel...?"
Richard blinked. He felt this had nothing whatsoever to do with him, so he casually said goodbye and prepared to turn away.
He signaled for Medici to leave with him, but to his surprise, the other man remained firmly in place and even took the initiative to ask:
"What do you mean by that?"
"Amon? Amon stole Sefirah Castle? Is that what you're saying?"
His tone was flat as he stared into Edward's eyes, devoid of emotion.
