April 12, spring of League Calendar year 112. Sunny.
Three days after signing the contract with Beautiful Life Construction Company, the day to begin construction had finally arrived.
"We'll be on our way, then. Tong Hua, I'll pass what you told me on to the captain when I get back."
"Sorry for the trouble."
Early that morning, just after Delibird left to make deliveries and the Ranger who had come to sell goods departed, several trucks and excavators drove into the Ranch one after another.
Tong Hua had been waiting at the Ranch entrance since early that morning. Over the past two days, he had bought some appliances, but without a connection to the power grid, they were not much use yet-
The refrigerator sat in the kitchen, doing nothing but taking up space.
The television had been placed on the desk at the foot of the bed. The satellite dish for receiving signals and its accompanying antenna had already been installed, so it was at least somewhat useful.
That was only because the Pokémon took turns cranking the hand-powered generator outside the window with all their might so they could watch television.
They had to turn it three or four times a second without stopping for even a moment!
If they stopped, the television would go black from insufficient voltage, and its internal components might even burn out. "Ama!" Rock!
"Min-min!" Scissors!
"Meow." Paper.
While Tong Hua spoke with the construction crew outside, Steenee, Minccino, and Purrloin were playing rock-paper-scissors indoors to decide who would crank the generator.
"Ama!" In the end, Steenee lost and reluctantly walked out to the backyard, where she began cranking hard.
The television picture finally stabilized, and the other Pokémon immediately gathered around it.
"Poyo-yo~" "Fu-fu~" "Min-min!"
Their favorite cartoon was playing on television.
