Smoliv followed behind Steenee when she suddenly saw something flash in the grass nearby.

She went closer for a look and found an adorable Buneary.
This Buneary was an old friend, too. In fact, the Buneary and Lopunny around this part of West Hill were all old friends of the Fairy Tale Exploration Team.
It went back to the day Looker and Emma first visited the Happy Dessert House, when that incident involving the two Blastoise had happened in the valley on West Hill.
Those two Blastoise seemed to be close to being released into the wild. It was hard to say whether they would return here.
"Mimi~" "Fufu~"
Buneary and Smoliv hugged affectionately. The two were clearly very familiar with each other.
Back then, it had been thanks to the Buneary and Lopunny guiding them that the Fairy Tale Exploration Team had found the valley hidden on West Hill.
The rare Salac Berries and Dragon Fire Berries now growing at the Fairy Tale Ranch had all been brought back from that valley.

Celebi and Steenee came over as well, greeting Buneary warmly.
"Mimi~"
"You're out exploring again."
Buneary hopped happily, her long, fluffy ears swaying gently.
"Has everyone been doing well lately? I haven't seen you for days."
"We've been great!" Steenee answered energetically.
"We went on a trip a few days ago and only came back yesterday." As she spoke, Steenee was about to recount their adventures over the past two days.
But before she could begin, Buneary interrupted her.
"Could you come with me? There's something I'd like you to look at.
"It's just a little way ahead-"
Buneary's expression grew somewhat serious, even carrying a hint of worry. She turned and motioned for everyone to follow.
