Shen Qi advanced through the Island Challenge before mysterious dizzy spells drew him into a spacetime crisis in Poni Canyon. After helping rescue Lillie and contain the Ultra Beasts, he returned to Melemele Meadow to help Flabébé evolve.

• Shen Qi and Florges enlisted Floette to amplify life infinity energy and remove hundreds of Flabébé evolution seals before resuming the Island Challenge.
• Shen Qi rescued Manectric and three Electrike, captured two simulated poachers, and passed Ilima’s battle assessment despite destroying the Pokémon doll he was meant to protect.
• Shen Qi advanced to Poni Island, suffered unexplained dizziness, and learned from Ribombee about Lillie’s theory linking Totem Auras to unusual energy fluctuations.
• Shen Qi followed a dream summons into Poni Canyon, rescued Lillie from Nihilego’s influence, and helped Magearna and Cosmog resist the Ultra Beasts entering through a spacetime rift.
• Mime Jr. taught Shen Qi to coordinate Ultra Infinity Energy, and Shen Qi Dynamaxed Dodo before Solgaleo and Lunala arrived to suppress the Ultra Beasts and contract the rift.
• Shen Qi captured Mime Jr. and completed his All-Type Infinity Energy Chakra, while Cosmog confirmed Lillie’s Totem Aura theory and explained Professor Mohn’s accident.
• Cosmog explained that Mime Jr. could transform into Blacephalon with Ultra Infinity Energy, and Shen Qi returned to Melemele Island after his Island Challenge could not continue.
• Shen Qi and Florges removed roughly sixteen or seventeen hundred evolution imprisonments with the Floette’s help and learned that Professor Burnet’s Flabébé wanted to evolve when they reunited.

Shen Qi helped Dodo face his past and brought Meowstic into his growing circle while returning to Island 6. There, he began considering the future of Pokémon High School and assembled students to prepare for its Friendly Match against Yangbeila Branch School.

• Shen Qi helped Florges break the evolution seals in Melemele Meadow, where they found dozens of Flabébé and eggs, and Professor Burnet reunited with a Flabébé that evolved into Floette.
• Shen Qi watched Xiao Ming pass Hapu’s final Island Challenge, then traveled with Dodo to the Akihabara Research Institute, where Dodo faced his memories and evolved into Porygon2 using Professor Akihabara’s Upgrade.
• Blissey and Lopunny encountered Meowstic, whose Expanding Force and confidence impressed Shen Qi, while Mime Jr. later defeated him after he mocked Shen Qi.
• Shen Qi invited Meowstic to travel with him, and Meowstic accepted while secretly planning to investigate Shen Qi, and on the way home, Shen Qi discovered Meowstic’s Dark Night King Emotional Script.
• At Island 6, Mega Lopunny defeated Meowstic, and Shen Qi’s unusual strength and reliability raised the script’s progress, and Meowstic began trying to learn from the other Pokémon.
• Shen Qi discussed becoming Pokémon High School’s future principal with Xiao Chun, considered hiring Cassidy and Butch, and learned how the school cared for its Pokémon.
• Shen Qi decided to enter Pokémon High School in the Friendly Match against Yangbeila Branch School and contacted Qiu Yan, who said she needed to see progress before she could consider teaching there.
• Shen Qi recruited Koji and Taichi to prepare for the match, reviewed their Pokémon and set earning Qiu Yan’s recognition as their first training task.

Shen Qi gathered teachers and students to prepare Pokémon High School for its Friendly Match against Yangbeila Branch School. Pokémon High School won the teacher group 3–2, and as Taichi lost his opening student match, Shen Qi prepared to battle while Xiao Cui left the venue with her suitcase.

• Shen Qi recruited Cassidy and Butch, and Qian Hui returned to help fill Pokémon High School’s teacher roster for the Friendly Match.
• Taichi evolved two Eevee into Leafeon and Flareon, and the school’s team practiced with Barrier Protectors at Kumquat Gym.
• Koji battled Qiu Yan, lost, and impressed her enough that she joined Pokémon High School’s Friendly Match team.
• Shen Qi led the school’s team to Kinkan Island, where the schools drew their matchups and Koji was paired against Flula.
• Qian Hui and Iron Pipe lost their teacher matches, but Butch defeated Zhenyang and Cassidy won her match to bring the score to 2–2.
• Jixiang defeated Xiao Cui after Xiao Cui forfeited, giving Pokémon High School a 3–2 teacher-group victory.
• Jixiang refused an offer to teach at Yangbeila Branch School and chose to stay at Pokémon High School.
• Taichi’s Eevee defeated Abomasnow but lost to Dewgong, and Shen Qi went to warm up for his own match as Xiao Cui left with a suitcase.

After Pokémon High School defeated Yangbeila Branch School, Shen Qi arranged summer training on the Fruit Sevii Islands and prepared for the Spring Race. He won the race against Ayaka and Shūji, while the Pokémon competition ended with Lilligant in third place.

• Xiao Cui accepted Shen Qi’s offer to teach at Pokémon High School, and Shen Qi defeated Yongxiang after forcing him out of the arena.
• Qiu Yan beat Xixia after the referee disqualified her for continuing after Jumpluff’s Barrier Points fell below 90%.
• Koji defeated Flula in student singles, and Pokémon High School won the team event when Little Reporter’s Emolga knocked out Vileplume.
• Xixia apologized to Qiu Yan, and Nana invited Pokémon High School to the Fruit Sevii Islands for summer training, and Principal Gui agreed to keep Xiao Cui and consider a summer camp.
• Shen Qi evolved Porygon Elder Sister, transformed Mime Jr. into Blacephalon, and agreed to help Feiyue by giving Ayaka a serious challenge in the Spring Race.
• Shen Qi met Sayaka after she returned to racing as a co-driver, then qualified second behind Ayaka’s Rainbow Flying Sword.
• Shen Qi overtook Ayaka and Shūji during the Spring Race, using Wen Jiu’s cleared gravel route to win the championship and qualify as a T3 Driver.
• Shen Qi arrived in time to watch the Pokémon race finish, where Lilligant and Lopunny placed third, and Espeon accidentally had a trophy dropped on him during the winners’ photo.
