Epilogue

An immense hand descended from the heavens, striking down from afar. The sky itself shattered under its terrifying might.

The next instant, the Star Sword Wings behind Yun Ying vibrated. Starlight blazed, their keen edges tearing through the void as they carried her away in a blue streak of light, instantly taking her beyond the immense hand's reach.

Boom!

The great formation shone, its runes intertwining to keep the land from shattering. Yet many people were swept up in the terrifying shock waves and reduced to dust, powerless to resist.

Having missed his strike, the Divine Monkey King's gaze grew colder. He was about to attack Yun Ying again when someone stopped him.

"Monkey, lashing out so viciously at a youngster just because humiliation has turned to rage? Isn't that beneath you?"

Old Wolf and a group of Beast Kings surrounded the Divine Monkey King, mocking and jeering at him.

"You undying old bastards will all die today!"

The Divine Monkey King roared and charged at them. He was furious: events had slipped beyond his control, and one plant of quasi-sacred medicine had been lost.

"Big words!"

The Beast Kings met his charge, and the battle erupted once more, devastating heaven and earth.

Within the dense forest, seeing the Divine Monkey King held back by the Beast Kings, everyone once again set their sights on the quasi-sacred medicine. Someone had taken one plant, but three remained. Without the Divine Monkey King's interference, their chances were still good.

"This vicious beast really is pretty formidable."

Bear Child glanced at the graceful purple figure and muttered to himself. It seemed that capturing these two identical vicious beasts and taking them home would be rather difficult.

Then everyone charged toward the three remaining plants of quasi-sacred medicine, battling the monkeys once more.

To everyone's astonishment, a purple figure flashed past amid swirling starlight, pierced the monkeys' blockade in an instant, and appeared beside the three plants of quasi-sacred medicine.

"It's her again! What is she trying to do? Does she want to snatch another plant of quasi-sacred medicine?"

Indeed, it was Yun Ying. Everyone stared at her, guessing at her intentions.

If that was her aim, her appetite was far too great. One plant of quasi-sacred medicine wasn't enough for her-her greed knew no bounds.

The monkeys were even more enraged. She had already stolen one plant of quasi-sacred medicine, yet she dared return and try to steal more. Did she really think they were all useless rice buckets?

Every monkey turned its attacks toward Yun Ying and charged her. They would never let her succeed again.

Seeing this, the others refused to fall behind. They unleashed precious techniques to stop Yun Ying. They could not possibly stand by and watch her claim another plant-that would hurt worse than being killed.

"How is she even greedier for food than I am?"

Bear Child grew anxious too and lunged forward, his Heaven and Earth Bag ready. If Yun Ying uprooted the quasi-sacred medicine, he would engulf both her and the plant, taking them all away.

Yet Yun Ying did not touch the whole plant of Sacred Medicine. She reached out with both hands and plucked the silver peaches from the branches of one quasi-sacred medicine tree.

With two gleaming silver peaches secured, Yun Ying stopped there. Without lingering, she vibrated the Star Sword Wings behind her and swiftly left the spot.

This scene completely defied everyone's expectations. They had never imagined that Yun Ying would leave the quasi-sacred medicine alone and take only two fruits.

Even so, two fruits borne by quasi-sacred medicine were equivalent to supreme spirit medicine.

By then, Yun Ying had already flown far away with the aid of her Star Sword Wings. With the two fruits in hand, she passed through the dense forest and swiftly vanished into the distance.

Since Yun Ying had withdrawn, everyone stopped paying attention to her and focused instead on the three plants of quasi-sacred medicine before them.

The fierce struggle continued, with both the people and the monkeys descending into madness.

"She's incredible! She snatched the quasi-sacred medicine in front of so many people, right under the Divine Monkey King's nose!"

Outside the battlefield, Huo Ling'er and her companions marveled from atop the Divine Carpet suspended in the air.

Yun Ying's performance had been truly astounding. Even the Divine Monkey King had been caught off guard, forced to watch helplessly as his quasi-sacred medicine was stolen, able only to rage impotently.

"She killed a whole swath of monkeys, including several monkey chiefs! Those were Inscription Realm experts, and she cut them all down. She's frighteningly strong!"

A large red bird spoke fearfully. Had it been in their place, even a hundred of it would not have been enough for a single monkey chief to slaughter.

The Sealers behind Huo Ling'er marveled as well.

"How exactly does she cultivate? She's so fast and so powerful. Is this what the Celestial Clan is like?"

Huo Ling'er was deeply curious. Heavenly God Mountain was unusual among the Primordial Sacred Mountain factions. Its people were neither primordial vicious beasts nor divine birds, but a special race: the Celestial Clan.

"I only sent you ahead because I was confident. You should have trusted me."

Yun Ying smiled faintly.

"Don't do that again."

Yun Xi pouted. Naturally, she was delighted to see that Yun Ying was unharmed.

"Mm. I also picked two fruits while those monkeys weren't paying attention."

Then Yun Ying took out the two gleaming silver peaches and handed one to Yun Xi.

"Those monkeys must be furious."

Yun Xi laughed.

Afterward, Yun Ying and Yun Xi found a place to lie low and waited for the exit to open so they could return to the outside world.

Elsewhere, the struggle over the quasi-sacred medicine also drew to a close. Aside from the plant Yun Ying and Yun Xi had taken, one of the remaining three was divided among the contenders, and another was stolen by a mysterious figure. In the end, the Divine Monkey King managed to protect only one plant of quasi-sacred medicine.

The outcome drove the Divine Monkey King mad with rage. He went on a rampage, sparing no cost to subdue every Beast King who had opposed him, before setting off in pursuit of the quasi-sacred medicine, vowing to reclaim it all.

Before the exit manifested, the Divine Monkey King would surely run wild, desperately searching for the lost quasi-sacred medicine and slaughtering in all directions.

Within a cave, Yun Ying sat cross-legged, radiance flowing around her. The light at the center of her brow shone most intensely, pure and flawless, emitting immensely powerful spiritual fluctuations that warped the void.

It looked as though a mass of divine flame burned inside her head. Within it was a dazzling gleam, like a stellar core wrapped in divine fire, condensed almost into solid form. Ringing sword notes sounded from it, striking terror into the soul.
