Broken Void City

Two Golden Beasts stood beside the chariot, one large and one small. Their bodies were golden from head to toe, dazzling like little suns.

This time, the Array Formation Realm Golden Beast would take Yun Ying and Yun Xi to the Hundred Broken Mountains.

"Young ladies."

When Yun Ying and Yun Xi arrived, both Golden Beasts bowed respectfully.

"Stay safe. Don't put yourselves in danger."

Yun Canghai gave them a reminder. Though he was not worried about them encountering danger, since both had powerful treasures to protect them, he still could not help saying a few words.

"We know, Grandpa. We're off."

After bidding Yun Canghai farewell, Yun Ying and Yun Xi turned and entered the chariot.

"Set off."

Yun Canghai nodded to the Golden Beast.

"As you command, master."

The ancient war chariot glowed, its runes shining. The Golden Beast drove it through the sky, and soon it vanished beyond the horizon.

The Hundred Broken Mountains would open soon, and more and more cultivators were gathering in Broken Void City.

The war chariot streaked across the sky and descended upon Broken Void City, drawing many people's attention.

"A Golden Beast! Using a Golden Beast to drive a chariot-what a grand display! I wonder which sacred mountain's genius has arrived?"

Under everyone's gaze, the Golden Beast drove the chariot into a courtyard deep within Broken Void City.

The Old Golden Beast spoke.

"No. The Hundred Broken Mountains are about to open, and Fish Dragons mingle here. We'd better not show ourselves carelessly."

Yun Ying shook her head.

After some thought, Yun Xi agreed and abandoned the idea of going out. She stayed to cultivate with Yun Ying while they waited for the Hundred Broken Mountains to open.

Half a month later, a bank of mist rose at the distant edge of the land, hazy and ethereal. Then a tremendous crash shook heaven and earth, and ten thousand rays of rosy light burst forth.

The commotion instantly alerted everyone in Broken Void City. No one could fail to understand what it meant.

"The Hundred Broken Mountains are about to open."

Yun Ying and Yun Xi also ended their quiet cultivation, rose to their feet, and gazed into the distance.

"Young ladies, please."

The Little Golden Beast came forward and crouched respectfully. Though young, the beast was enormous, standing over ten feet tall.

Yun Ying and Yun Xi exchanged a glance, then sat on the Golden Beast's shoulders.

Once they were seated, the Golden Beast leaped up and left the courtyard.

Countless creatures surged out through the city, with many races appearing together. The great powers, ancient clans, ancient kingdoms, and foremost sects climbed onto Broken Void City's walls and gazed toward the horizon.

Before long, the Golden Beast carried Yun Ying and Yun Xi onto the city wall as well, and they stared ahead.

At the edge of the land, the mist churned and became white waves that surged toward them, a magnificent sight.

Then came a tremendous crash. Heaven and earth split apart, and the white waves halted, roiling endlessly as though an entrance to another world had opened.

"Go!"

The next instant, countless creatures moved as one, charging toward the entrance to the Hundred Broken Mountains. Every one of them wanted to enter first and seize the initiative.

A gateway materialized within the mist. Though immense, it could not possibly admit so many creatures at once, and a sea of people was blocked outside.

Some creatures began fighting outside as a result, throwing the scene into utter chaos.

"Yun Xi, let's act separately."

Yun Ying spoke to Yun Xi.

Yun Xi held her gaze for a moment, then nodded. "All right."

She knew Yun Ying loved to duel with powerful opponents. Staying together would leave Yun Ying with concerns that held her back.

Then the Golden Beast leaped down from the high wall, landing with a boom before racing toward the entrance to the Hundred Broken Mountains.

"Get out of the way!"

The Golden Beast roared. Sound waves erupted, blasting countless people away and leaving them coughing up mouthfuls of blood.

"A Golden Beast!"

When the creatures saw that it was a Golden Beast, many dared not say another word. They cleared a path of their own accord, allowing the beast to pass swiftly.

And so, the Golden Beast carried Yun Ying and Yun Xi into the gateway without obstruction.

After they entered the gateway, glowing passages appeared before them. Different passages led to different regions within the Hundred Broken Mountains, though those major regions were also connected by passages.
