Red Swan Castle
Hugh nodded, then suddenly paused, startled:
"Factory District?"
She frowned slightly and asked in return:
"Didn't you say last night that you wanted me to go with you to the Metropolitan Association for Improving the Domestic Servants hire some reliable managers for that guy?"
"Really? That's what I said last night?" Fors chuckled dryly as she explained.
"I might have forgotten to mention something else. We need to go to the Metropolitan Association for Improving the Domestic Servants, and we also need to go to the Face Mask Factory."
After saying that, she didn't give Hugh a chance to complain about herself and continued:
"Alright, alright, let's go to the Metropolitan Association for Improving the Domestic Servants, and after we've appointed a housekeeper and management personnel, then we'll go to the Face Mask Factory."
"Hurry up and change your clothes and shoes."
Hugh slapped his forehead speechlessly and stood up from the Single Sofa.
"Why aren't you moving?" Reaching the Full-Length Mirror, she noticed her friend was still sitting on the Long Sofa and turned back, urging her impatiently. "Uh..." Fors stammered awkwardly, "Wait a few more minutes. I'll go pray to Mr. ' Fool ' and tell Ms. ' Hermit ' about the Angel."
Hugh gave him a confused look:
"Angel?"
As Fors got up and walked toward the Bedroom, he casually explained to his friend, "It's the Mythical Creature that the ' Hermit ' lady mentioned."
"Didn't she want a drop of blood from a Mythical Creature? He told me he'd gotten it and asked the ' Hermit ' lady to consider what to offer in exchange."
Hugh's body trembled slightly, and his eyes widened. It was Tuesday, and it wasn't even 3 p. m. yet. Less than 24 hours had passed since the "Hermit" made the request.
That guy actually managed to get a drop of blood from a Mythical Creature / Angel!
Intis, Trier, Erato District.
Despite his physical and mental exhaustion from days of travel, the elderly man in the tailcoat stepped down from the carriage, clutching a long, thin bundle tightly in his arms, and looked up at the mountains.
At the edge of the view stands a beige Castle, majestically perched atop the mountain, surrounded by a small river.
Red Swan Castle... The name of the Castle flashed through the old man's mind, followed by the image of his young master, who was living under someone else's roof and waiting anxiously for news of revenge.
He exhaled sharply, straightened his back, and slightly raised his chin. A sudden surge of impatience welled up within him, a desire to deliver the good news as soon as possible. With this thought in mind, he took a few coins from his pocket, handed them to the coachman, and strode towards the road leading up the mountain without looking back.
Not long after, at the Manor attached to Red Swan Castle.
The elderly man in the tuxedo sat upright with half his buttocks on the stool. After waiting for more than ten minutes, he finally saw his young master whom he had not seen for many days.
He quickly stood up and bowed to the Little Percival, who was about ten years old, with light blond hair and beautiful blue eyes.
Then, he bowed slightly to the beautiful lady beside him, who was graceful, beautiful, and also had dreamy blonde hair.
"Miss Alicia."
The beautiful woman named Alicia nodded slightly, a hint of helplessness in her eyes, and said in a slightly hoarse, yet magnetic voice:
Uncle Evan, you're still as old-fashioned and boring as ever.
"I remember telling you many times, both your brother and I have come to regard you as family, so there's no need to be so reserved."
"You watched us grow up... Oh well, whatever."
She shook her head and smiled, no longer dwelling on the trivial matter. She pulled her nephew to sit down, instructed the Maid to make tea, and then sent them away to guard the gate.
With a creak, the door closed, and the light in the house quickly dimmed.
Alicia took Match from the drawer, struck it with a "hiss" to create a spark, and lit the candles in the center of the two candlesticks on the square table beside her.
Then she clapped her hands and looked gently at her little nephew across from her.
Little Percival nodded almost imperceptibly, his gaze flickering slightly as he looked nervously and expectantly at the elderly man in the tuxedo standing upright.
"Grandpa Evan, that Little Pickpocket..."
Before he could finish speaking, a broad smile spread across the old man's face.
The aunt and niece exchanged a glance, their similar blue eyes flashing with excitement, joy, exhilaration, and the satisfaction of successful revenge.
"What happened? Tell me quickly," Little Percival urged in his still somewhat childish voice.
Across from him, Alicia also looked on with curiosity.
The elderly man in the tuxedo chuckled, a thoughtful expression on his face, and recounted the entire story of the incident from his memory to the aunt and niece.
The house fell silent, save for his aged voice.
A moment later, Alicia took out a fragrant Handkerchief she always carried and wiped her eyes twice. Her blue eyes were slightly red as she whispered to the other two:
"The great revenge has been achieved"
"My poor brother can finally go to the Spirit World in peace."
She exhaled slowly and gently, smiling slightly.
"I'm just a woman, and he's still a child; neither of us had the ability to travel all the way to the Loen Kingdom. We owe this all to you, Uncle Evan."
As soon as she finished speaking, Little Percival followed his aunt in expressing his gratitude.
The old man in the tuxedo said in a deep voice:
"If it weren't for the Viscount, I would have starved to death sixty years ago; if it weren't for the old Baron, I would have spent my whole life working the fields; if it weren't for the Baron taking all the blame, I might have been hanged or spent the rest of my life in a dark and hopeless prison."
Percival gave me everything; it's what I should do.
Alicia nodded slightly, this time refraining from teasing the elderly man in the tuxedo.
The three people the other party just mentioned were his grandfather, father, and elder brother; moreover, a superior will never think that there are too many loyal subordinates.
With the revenge plot settled, she inquired about her husband. The old man in the tuxedo shook his head and said:
"When I boarded the passenger ship to leave Loen, the master should still be on his way."
Alicia Percival's husband was a key member of the Sauron Family sent to Backlund on a mission, and Gallows was a spy he had sent beforehand.
Avenging his lover's brother was merely a side objective.
"Okay." Alicia nodded.
At this moment, Little Percival. suddenly asked curiously:
"Grandpa Evan, what is that thing you've been holding in your arms?"
"This is a portrait commissioned by the Baron, supposedly a copy of Percival's ancestor," the elderly man in the tailcoat said with a smile as he opened the bundle.
"The Baron has always loved this painting, but unfortunately he didn't have time to take it with him before. This time when he returned, he tried to find someone to retrieve it."
As he spoke, he removed the ribbons binding the scroll and spread it out on the table.
The aunt and niece looked down at the same time and saw a man in fine clothes who resembled their father/brother in some ways, but was older and more dignified.
"It really looks like it..." The same thought flashed through their minds. For some reason, Little Percival suddenly felt a great attraction to the painting, and blinked subtly, saying:
"Auntie, Grandpa Evan, may I keep this painting as a memento of my father?"
My father looks a lot like my ancestors.
