Mr. Falk gave a light cough, drawing everyone out of the lingering afterglow.
He smiled and turned to look at Lorry:
"Raven, it seems we all underestimated you.
"I never imagined you were not only good at writing popular fiction, but could even produce such a wonderful suspense and horror story in so little time.
"No wonder Miles called you a genius when he recommended you.
"If you'd been born twenty years earlier, in the same era as me, I probably wouldn't have ended up with the titles everyone bestowed on me.
"Mr. Nois considers your performance a 'pass'... does anyone disagree?" With that, he turned his head with a chuckle to look around at everyone.
Everyone knew this was a joke, so naturally no one objected.
Dylan said irritably:
"All right, Mr. Falk, stop poking fun at those of us who write suspense and horror fiction. Hurry up and move on to the next person."
-He was on good terms with everyone, including their host, Falk.
But perhaps because he was rather talkative, nobody wanted to sit with him, which was how Lorry, who had waited until last, ended up beside him.
Mr. Falk nodded with a smile and looked at Fors on his right:
"Ms. 'Sisi.'
"I hope you can bring us a sufficiently wonderful story too."
"I'll do my best." Fors chuckled softly, lowered her voice, and slowly began.
She told a story about a surgical patient named "Fors" who discovered someone stealing corpses and performing black magic rituals while she was staying at a clinic.
Along the way, she vividly described many specific details, such as evading the Corpse Collector's patrols and the eerie atmosphere of the morgue.
-For a while, this made everyone suspect the story was not invented, but something that had actually happened.
