The morning of their day off was very peaceful. Gary slept until nine thirty before Eevee finally licked him awake.
"Mmm~ Morning, Eevee-chan~" Young Master Mao rubbed his tousled hair, his long eyelashes fluttering slightly.
Thud! Just as he sat up, an egg fell from the ceiling and landed right in his arms.
The top of the shell gently opened, revealing Togepi's adorable little face.
"Chak-togeee~" The little one waved its arms and kicked happily, seemingly very pleased with this way of waking up.
Gary looked up and saw Gengar pressed against the ceiling, still fast asleep.
Come to think of it, how did this fellow manage to sleep so soundly while using Confusion to stay afloat...?
He grabbed a pillow and hurled it at the ceiling. Smack!
The soft sensation made Gengar rub his eyes in confusion. Seeing Togepi in Gary's arms, the gold-medal babysitter was so shocked that his eyeballs flew right out!
"Hey, don't actually let them fly out!" Gary quipped speechlessly.
Good grief, I slept so deeply that the baby fell! Gengar landed lightly, crouched on the floor, and began tracing circles with a pout...
"All right, all right... You didn't do it on purpose. We're awake anyway, so go give Togepi some milk." Gary picked up Togepi, and his arms sank.
Good grief, with this weight, Togepi must have stored up a whole lot of happiness~
After a moment's thought, Gary casually redeemed a small, silvery-white bell from the system.
He threaded a red cord through it and put it around Togepi's neck.
"Chak?" Togepi fiddled curiously with the bell. Its clear, soothing chime immediately made the Pokémon in the room close their eyes in contentment.
"Now we won't fail to notice if Togepi falls again~" Gary said with a smile.
"Gengaa~" Gengar nodded cheerfully
