Eterna City was a town with a very long history in the Sinnoh region.
Its most famous landmarks were the two enormous statues east of the city, depicting Dialga, the god of time, and Palkia, the god of space.
It was said that these two statues had been the center of all sorts of celebrations and festivals in ancient Sinnoh.
Now, as festival culture gradually disappeared, Champion Cynthia had taken the lead in organizing a ceremonial festival in Eterna City dedicated to Hisui, the Ancient Sinnoh, to preserve traditional culture.
Aside from those, Eterna City was also famous for its herbal medicine shop and haunted house...
Legend had it that the Old Chateau held a recipe for delicious Old Gateau. The catch was-you would run into ghosts!
Young Master Mao couldn't have cared less about that.

Apparently, Eterna City's Gym Trainer, Miss Gardenia, was a devoted haunted-house enthusiast.
To get her hands on Old Gateau, she had already attempted the challenge more than once. Every time, she ended up screaming in terror and running for her life.
"Gengar! (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵)!" The big purple fatty suddenly popped out of the shadows with his tongue out, frightening the girl in a crop top and shorts into a shriek!
"Eek! (˃⌑˂ഃ)!" Even Gardenia's hair nearly stood on end.
"Sorry about that. Gengar has quite a sense of humor. He likes playing pranks on people," Young Master Mao explained helplessly.
"Haha... It's fine. I wasn't scared at all," Gardenia said with a goofy laugh, her face pale.
