Whirling his arms wildly, Elekid charged himself up to his heart's content in one go.
"Elekid!" Elekid flashed his signature bad-boy grin.
"Elekid, Thunderbolt." Paul... really did enjoy making people eat their words...
Gary calmly cracked sunflower seeds. "Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey~ Youngsters are still too hotheaded~"
Boom! Elekid swung his arms and sent a charged-up Thunderbolt right back.
Golden lightning surged toward Pikachu, blasting him straight off his feet.
The same Electric-type, the same move-Pikachu was throwing this one so obviously!
"Come on, you've got stronger moves, don't you?" Paul kept beckoning with his finger, taunting him.
Gary rolled his eyes. "If I were Ash, I definitely wouldn't fall into the same trap three times. After all, how many times have I tricked him with Protect...?"
Before Young Master Mao could finish, Ash had already charged ahead. "Pikachu, Volt Tackle!"
"Oh, this is bad..." Young Master Mao could hardly bear to watch.
"Pika, pika~" Pikachu sprinted at high speed, plasma bursting from his whole body.
"Pika!" The electric meteor shot through space, and Paul's lips curled upward. "Protect!"
"Elekid!" Elekid swept both hands out, raising a green shield of light.
Bang! Crackling with electricity, Pikachu was sent flying backward by his own recoil, straight into the bushes nearby!
Crackle! A burst of electric light flashed.
"Ah!!" A girl's scream rang out from the woods.
"Whoa, he hit someone!" Brock's mouth twitched. "Time out!"
