Xiao Xiao stared in astonishment at the girl who had buried her face in her embrace and murmured, "Wang Dong, you're really Wang Dong, aren't you?"
The girl did not answer. She simply continued to weep softly, her whole body trembling from the intensity of her emotions.
Xiao Xiao said no more either. She merely soothed the girl in her arms, quietly waiting for her emotions to settle.
After a while, the girl finally gave a soft reply. After that brief outpouring, her emotions gradually steadied. She raised her head to meet Xiao Xiao's eyes and nodded firmly.
Xiao Xiao gazed at the lovely face before her. It was still just as captivating, but compared to when she dressed as a boy, it had a little less heroic spirit and a little more softness.
"I heard from our eldest senior sister that you were actually a girl. So it really was true. Wang Dong, I can't believe you hid it for so many years without any of us finding out." There was a trace of reproach in Xiao Xiao's astonished voice.
