Youyou and the other immortal herbs had long since bowed their flower bodies low, filled with reverence. What had been summoned were the true source of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well: the two former Dragon Kings of Ice and Fire, buried beneath it.
Although only remnant souls with almost no awareness remained, the sheer power that had nurtured this wondrous land still made them beings akin to deities in the immortal herbs' hearts.
Huo Yuhao, however, had long grown accustomed to this. He watched the Ice Dragon King above him. This was the second reason he had come here: to try to obtain the eighth soul ring for his ultimate ice martial soul from the Ice Dragon King's remnant soul.
The farce of this beast tide had also brought Huo Yuhao rapid advancement. The faith of the Far North, the destruction of the Holy Spirit Cult, the birth of his chaos-balanced dual soul cores... all these had brought Huo Yuhao, who had only recently broken through level 70, straight to the threshold of level 80.
In his search for an eighth ice-attribute soul ring, he had neither returned to the Far North nor chosen to share one with other ice-attribute soul masters. Instead, he had remembered the Ice Dragon King.
