The bounty and rumors about the Despair Oasis attracted growing attention, while an unexplained flash appeared deep beneath the oasis.

• Dongguan meditated through the night at Yang Bei’s home, temporarily adapting to the noise and revealing to Yang Bei and Lu Gang why he had returned to Northern Frontier Base City.
• Dongguan, Yang Bei, and Lu Gang searched the desert and discovered that the noise came from within the Death Desert, possibly the Despair Oasis.
• After weighing the risks of seeking help, Dongguan decided to offer a 100-billion-Huaxia-Currency bounty and publicize possible spirits of plants and trees and Ancient Civilization Ruins in the Death Desert.
• A flash of light appeared twenty thousand meters beneath the desert oasis as the three War Gods returned to Northern Frontier Base City.

Dongguan spoke with Zhang Gui about the life and resolve of a martial artist, and his words prompted the boy to choose his own path despite his mother’s fears. After Dongguan’s aura revealed his overwhelming strength and a mark like his own on Zhang Gui’s forehead, Zhang Gui decided to take the Quasi-Martial Artist test.

• Dongguan watched Zhang Gui practice spear techniques at the Limitless Martial Arts Hall, then explained how independent martial artists hunted monsters and survived in the Wilderness Zone.

Wu Feng brought footage of a suspected ruin in Despair Oasis to the Limitless Martial Arts Hall, but the Hall rejected his bounty claim while Dongguan offered him a personal payment. After the footage and images of a gigantic python guarding a tower spread online, Dongguan prepared to investigate, while Hong learned that the python was a Fourth-Order Planetary Level monster and set out to stop it.

• Wu Feng showed Dongguan, Yang Bei, Lu Gang, and Zheng Yuqiao footage of his team finding a wall underground in Despair Oasis, but could not provide its exact location or enough evidence to meet the bounty requirements.
• Dongguan offered Wu Feng one billion, and Wu Feng left angry and posted on the Warrior Forum questioning whether a War God's bounty could be trusted.
• Dongguan decided to release Wu Feng's video for public judgment, and Liu He posted images showing a gigantic black-scaled python coiled around a tower-shaped structure in Despair Oasis.

On March 15, 2057, fighters from across the world explored the Despair Oasis and discovered an enormous Circular Tower guarded by two powerful snakes. After Hong killed the snakes and opened the tower, Dongguan absorbed the drifting green mist and began breaking through to Planetary Level, while a buried spaceship started restarting.

• Warriors and Councilors cleared monsters from the Death Desert and entered the Despair Oasis, where they searched for spirits of plants and trees.
• Catlan recognized Dongguan as a High-level War God Psychic and wondered whether the ruins held the means by which Dongguan had strengthened his Spiritual Force.
• The group found an enormous Circular Tower guarded by a black snake and a speaking blue-green snake, and Hong arrived to confront them.
• Hong killed both snakes with his silver spear and led the others into the tower, where they found a cracked Black Stone Altar releasing green mist.
• Dongguan inhaled the mist, felt his body and consciousness synchronize, and began forming Miniature Planets as everyone watched.
• A form of light appeared inside a buried spaceship, whose system reported a malfunction and began restarting.

Dongguan brought his son Zhang Gui to Hongning Base City’s Training Camp, where Zhang Gui passed his entrance test and met Luo Feng, whom he vowed to surpass. Dongguan tried the Trial Tower and agreed to stay at the camp temporarily as an instructor.

• Dongguan traveled to Hongning Base City with Zhang Gui and Zheng Yuqiao, and Zhang Gui was awed by the Training Camp’s black dragon sculpture.
• Zhang Gui resolved to surpass Luo Feng after Dongguan praised him, and he vowed to pass the next day’s A-rank test.
• Luo Feng met Zhang Gui, who introduced himself as a rival, and learned that the seventeen-year-old was already a low-level War General.

• Luo Feng waited in the Ape Mountain Range, spotted Dongguan arriving on a tamed Azure-Feathered Eagle, and flew with him to a mist-covered island in a lake.
