Heath grew interested. He felt as though he were playing a game, studying and considering all sorts of novel game mechanics. It was like playing Dark Souls III: when newcomers spotted a treasure chest, they would happily run over to open it, while veteran players would give it a slash first.
Heath was like a new player now. He knew nothing, and judging by his Golden Finger's usual tendencies, he kept feeling that this old man might really have something extraordinary hidden behind him. Heath planned to slowly get to the bottom of it. He would be staying in the Indigo League for a while anyway. Once he found a way to prepare Edible Quartz and completed the Indigo League's task, he planned to move to another city.
For now, though, Heath was in no particular hurry. There was still plenty of time, and he had yet to find a way to cook Edible Quartz.
Heath took the Ingredient Identifier out of his pocket. It could only be used once a day, but he had already classified it as an extremely valuable item. Compared to the Hypnosis Mic and Nightmare Crystal, whose purposes were unclear, this item seemed to be of greater help to him. Today, he intended to use it to examine the Lava Eel.
Although Director Fox had already told him some ways to eat Lava Eel, Heath still intended to check it himself. It would be bad if anything had been left out.
With that thought, Heath brought out the Lava Eel, then aimed the Ingredient Identifier at it.
