Using a little honey and some fresh seasonal fruit, Heath made a fairly tasty fruit shaved ice. It would definitely be popular in the sweltering heat, but Viridian City was still at the tail end of its damp season, so it would be a while before shaved ice caught on.
After all, not many people liked eating shaved ice in the depths of winter. Once the weather warmed up after a while and the skies were clear, it would be time for shaved ice to shine.
The other problem, though, was the low profit margin. Shaved ice was meant to be an everyday food, after all. Making it expensive would defeat its original purpose. It was like milk tea: in the beginning, nine-tenths of a cup was milk tea, with toppings making up the rest. These days, they practically wanted to fill the entire cup with toppings. If Heath hadn't known better, he would have thought he was drinking porridge.
Still, calling it porridge was actually an insult to porridge. After all, porridge was pretty good and gentle on the stomach. Drinking these porridge-like milk teas, however, probably counted as getting an early start on your next life. High blood pressure, high blood sugar, high blood lipids, and all sorts of things like that would come knocking.
"As for the price... forget it. I'll just make two League Coins per serving and go for volume over margins." Heath hesitated for a moment. Looking at Snorlax, who was overjoyed at being able to help him, Heath still let out a sigh. Even if it was just to bring back Snorlax's smile, he felt he was definitely going to sell this shaved ice. It didn't make much money and was a little troublesome to prepare, but it was still doable.
