"Do you have a cat?" When Heath came out, he found Cynthia looking at him curiously. Her question caught him off guard for a moment before he remembered the kitten he had just pulled out of Hoopa's golden ring. From that perspective, Heath did count as having a cat, although this cat was somewhat unusual. He also kept feeling that something was off about it. After all, although the Ingredient Identifier had failed to identify it, it had said that the cat was actually gas. A proper cat would not be made of gas.
It was not Tom, who could switch back and forth between all sorts of forms. If this cat were Tom, Heath felt he could probably make his fortune. Aside from being unable to catch Jerry, Tom was incredibly capable at everything.
"I suppose so?" Heath was not entirely sure. He did not even know what this cat normally ought to eat, or whether he needed to buy things like a litter box and cat litter.
Keeping a cat was not something you could handle simply by carrying an adorable kitten home. In fact, there were quite a few steps involved. First, you had to choose the cat you wanted to keep. If this were his previous life, Heath felt adoption would be a good choice. Then came taking it to a veterinary clinic for a checkup, vaccinations, and so on. Heath felt that if there was a veterinary hospital run by a local agricultural university, going there would be better.
After the checkup and vaccinations, you still had to buy a litter box and a bag of cat litter for the cat to use as its toilet. Then you had to buy cat food, scoop the litter and refill the food every day, and so on.
