Just as Heath was still puzzling over it, he saw a girl peeking in through the doorway. He glanced at her-it was Cynthia. Heath froze for a moment. Could the summary reward he had received yesterday have failed to appear because he had not finished serving today's customers?

Heath thought that was quite likely. After all, yesterday's summary reward had only appeared once he was no longer serving customers. But Cynthia's presence now proved that his work serving customers today was not over yet. Besides, to prepare for his last day of service tomorrow, Heath still planned to buy more ingredients at the Vegetable Market later. Otherwise, tomorrow would be even more exhausting. It was also a bit of a shame to close so early today, considering how many customers he had just had.

"Miss Cynthia?" Heath asked as he looked at her. By then, Zoroark had already returned to her original form and gone back to the Lounge to sleep with the listless Charmeleon. Only Little Red remained beside Heath, flicking her claws as she stared thoughtfully at him, though Heath did not notice.

"Good afternoon, Heath. Do you have anything left to eat?" Cynthia walked in with a smile. Today, she wore a starry evening gown, its dark blue-black base dotted with points of light that made her skin look even fairer. Her smooth shoulders, swanlike neck, large eyes, pale golden irises, and long golden hair falling naturally down her back gave her a distinctive charm.

Heath was momentarily stunned by the sight. Seeing his dazed expression, the amusement in Cynthia's eyes grew more apparent. She approached with light steps, stopped in front of him, then leaned closer with her hands behind her back, tilting her head and blinking.

"Your heart skipped a beat just now, didn't it?"
