"?" Mew turned its head blankly, then caught a strange smell. It could not help frowning, looking a little like an angry, adorable tiger cub.
It reminded Heath of the cat he used to have at home. Whenever Heath woke it from a sound sleep, it wore exactly that expression before launching into a tirade with an off-the-charts meow count. Although all he could hear was meow, meow, meow, it was quite cute.
"Mew, could you help me erase this flower's smell?" Heath looked at Mew excitedly. Mew was a Psychic-type Pokémon, and a Mythical Pokémon at that. In the past, it had even been a Legendary Pokémon, so Heath thought there was a very good chance it could manage this. After hearing Heath's request, Mew nodded and waved a hand. To Heath's delight, the smell that had given him such a headache vanished completely.
Heath even buried his head in the Corydalis Flowers, but he could not detect a trace of that passing-on-life smell. He instantly felt much more satisfied. As long as he could overcome the problem of the smell, the task his Golden Finger had given him would not be so difficult.
With that distinctive passing-on-life smell removed, Corydalis Flowers were really just ordinary flowers. They only needed to be washed clean before they could be used in cooking.
Heath quickly made a simple serving of scrambled eggs with Corydalis Flowers, then gave it a sniff. All he could smell was egg. The Corydalis Flowers seemed to have lost all their flavor, becoming like cabbage. Heath took a bite, and that was perfectly normal too. There were no problems at all.
